I am looking to purchase some shirts from Jiffyshirt.com to put transfers on. Except there are a LOT of choices! :scared1: Can someone with more experience point me to a good brand on there? Does it matter for the transfers what kind of fabric you use? (100% cotton versus a blend?) I'll need kid and adult sizes, in white and red. Also, if the recommended brand runs true to size. (The reviews on some of them are confusing...half say "run small" and half say "run true to size"! Thanks!

As you will find out soon enough, you will get many different answers to this question. Based on my experience so far (fairly new to this), Gildan shirts, 100% cotton, are very nice, good quality, and maintain their color. I like to buy the men's style shirts because I do not like the tight fit of ladies shirts. I buy XL from Gildan, as well as when I buy shirts from Disney. I have used Fruit of the Loom from Walmart, 100% cotton, again men's, but I have to buy XXL, they run smaller and are not as comfortable, no stretch in the fabric. Finally, I buy Jerzee Ultra Cotton, 100% cotton, from Target, they are very nice, great colors, and I can buy XL. Michaels & JoAnne's Craft stores sell Jerzee, 100% cotton, but are a slightly cheaper quality than Target, and definitely run smaller.

If you plan on wearing these shirts for more than just your vacation, I would invest in the better quality shirts. If they are basically just for this trip, then price might be your factor. This probably didn't do anything but confuse you more, but hopefully it helped a little bit.

We used the Gildan Ultra Cotton, which came in women's, men's, and children's sizes. They were good quality, the colors stayed true, and the best part was that each shirt listed which women's/men's/children's style matched so that all of the colors were the same dye-lot. This is very important when it comes to reds! The transfers work best on 100% cotton (I would HIGHLY recommend AMY MICKEY'S transfers!). :goodvibes

I ordered Jerezze's 50/50 last time... they are on the heavy side but very good quality
