JH says La Nouba might be on the way out!

Maybe the contract for La Nouba is coming to a close. I wonder if Disney would put their own show in.

I'm not sure putting in content for a younger age group will allow them to keep high ticket prices.

1) The show might be on the way out - way in the future.
. . . the contract was for 20-years, starting in 1998
. . . Cirque gets the first 50% of the house
. . . WDW gets 50% of the second 50% of the house *
2) I have never met Guy, but have met several of his folks.
3) These are one bunch of smart business people.
4) If they can make a good deal, they will create a show.
. . . look at the Beatles "Love" show
. . . look at the Michael Jackson show
. . . look at the Elvis show
. . . look at the other 19 housed or traveling USA shows
5) I am sure if the bucks were right, they would do a new Disney show.
. . . one to replace Nouba ?
. . . one to accompany Nouba ?
. . . one to travel among the Disney parks ?
6) Who knows, one might be one the drawing board right now.
7) I can see a new show at WDW, just where and when ???

* This is why WDW frequently gives away Cat-2 tickets to employees and guests with no strings. Disney has already paid for the tickets, so if they aren't sold, they just give them away (Cat-1 and Cat-3 still sell out often).

I saw la nouba back in 2000.

It was Wonderful. :cloud9:

I've seen many other Cirque shows as well and none of them even came close to being as cool and amazing as La Nouba.

I would be very sad to see it go.

However of the flip side,

I would love to see a Disney character (all characters including muppets) Cirque show.

I found Mystere and La Nouba about equal. I think Zumanity is equal on a totally different level. "O" is better but "LOVE" is the BEST.

The problem with La Nouba is that they're still doing the same acts that they did 12 years ago. If you've seen it once, you might go again, but it gets really hard to justify the expense for yet another time. Specially if you go to Disney with your family.

Heck, the little girls doing the spinning tops act (no idea what the name was) back when I first saw it are likely in their college by now.
