I was just reading the policies for DC in our confirmation packet for our day there in May and noticed that it says no jewelry.

How strict is DC on this... and do wedding rings need to be left at the oel, as we are in FL for our HM.

Wedding bands and waterproof watches are allowed in any area. Other jewellery needs to be taken off for the dolphin swim.

Is an engagement ring allowed, or just wedding ring?

Just a wedding ring. Most engagement rings have stones and those and the setting could scratch the dolphin. Wedding rings tend to be smooth so there is no risk of this happening. The precise wording is "a plain wedding band" so if the wedding ring has any stones, than that probably would be a no no as well.
