Jetblue

After 2 very unfortunate, very poor customer service experiences with American Airlines. I now ONLY fly JetBlue from Austin to Orlando and recently flew from Austin to Longbeach. I love JetBlue and in my experience if there were any problems - significant delay, tv screen not working - I was offered a voucher good for my next flight from $50 for the delay to $15 for the tv screen. This was on two separate flights. I noticed that my Dec 2008 flight had dropped $100 in price fromt he time I booked it. I called and they gave me $100 credit toward my next flight - I used it to book an August flight and that trip from Austin to Orlando is only costing me $99 out of pocket.

Oh ok. :)

Not getting 59 there, either. If I would just leave a day later both ways I would, but not on the dates I'm looking at in late May. :)

I have a whole Safari page with 4 tabs up...SW, JB, VA, and Alaska. Keep going back to them...

Hmmmm....Well, it was yesterday that I saw the $59 fares from Seattle to Los Angeles....I haven't checked today, so maybe they're gone??? The main page had a small banner with an ad that said $59 from Los Angeles to Seattle. I clicked on it and decided to try to see if it would give me the same price for a flight originating in Seattle, and it did. I'll have to check and see if it is still up today.

We aren't going tell october either! what dates in october for you?

Right now, we have 10 days reserved at Hojos from the 18th-28th. We will most likely stay for only 6 of those nights, but I'm waiting for the dates to be released for Mickey's Trick or Treat Party before we finalize our dates. When is your trip?

Molly, I just re-read your post after I typed the one above. So the $59 did show up but not for the dates that you wanted? Hopefully some great fares will come up soon for you somewhere. :-)

I don't think Jetblue flys to LAX. They generally fly only to smaller airports.
They've announced LAX flights to/from New York and Boston starting in June. Doesn't help the OP though.

There have also been news reports about JB having a squabble with LGB, suggesting they might stop service there.

from the 20th to the 28th....I'm waiting for my entertainment book to show up to get the entertainment rate...right now I have it reserved at the military rate of 71 a night...

FYI: You can reserve with the entertainment rate before you go; you just have to have your card when you check in/out.

JetBlue only goes to LGB. I'm flying for the first time soon. All I've heard is positive.

I'm traveling October 1-8 and I'm wondering if its too soon to book my flight? Will their prices go up? Right now I've found round trip non stop from Washington DC to Orlando for about $200 and I'm worried if i wait it will go up a lot, are their prices fairly consistent? We can't book the hotel until August 1st (vacation plan) so I'm hesitant to book the flight before the hotel is locked down, but I don't want to lose the good price.

Do they change flights last minute? I recently flew with United (who i've always had a great experience with) from DC to Vegas and I booked through Orbitz.com and both for the flight there and back they called me about 12 hours before the flight telling me it had been changed. It was annoying, but it was just me for business so it didn't phase me too much, but traveling with a child I don't want to risk our flights being all changed around.

Any thoughts?? TIA! :0)

I will say this if you book it now and you keep checking the dates and times you are going and if they go down you call them and they will give you a jetblue credit.

Another JetBlue fan here. The service and amenities on this airline are better than any major carrier. And you don't have to pay to check your first piece of luggage. HUGE bonus! And you get free snacks in flight and the TV/Radio for free. Can't be beat.

Can anyone comment on this airline? I don't know much about it want to make sure it is not going to go out of business after buying tickets...

Any stories or experiences would be welcome here.

Yeah, here is my comment don't do it. I flew jet blue out of long beach, ca to orlando. The plane was filthy, there was a lady with a cat under her seat next to me, and a rather portly woman on the other side of me encroching upon my space. Besides the this (this was not jet blues' fault) the plane was filthy, with spilt and dried milk on the seat with food crumbs everywhere. Guess that is was happens when the planes do not have clean up crews and the passengers are asked to clean their own seats...

Spend the extra bucks and fly a real airline...

Through and through Jet Blue fan here, also. I have a big family and when purchasing airline tickets, I totally have to make the numbers work. Jet Blue has come through for us every time. My flight cost went down, one time, and they credited us with enough that my husband and I could fly somewhere else at a later date. (I don't know about you, but after a family vacation, we definately needed a couples vacation!). Now we try to only fly Jet Blue! They are the best!!!:thumbsup2
