I am so aggravated with USAIR. (I do realize it is not entirely their fault.)
But we have had this trip booked since January with direct flights out of Hartford. Well there aren't anymore direct flights out of Hartford and if that isn't bad enough the only flight they could get us on for our return isn't til late afternoon with a layover. (We are cruising and I really don't want to be waiting around the airport all day.....if ya know what I mean.)

So anyway....onto my question......I have rebooked with JetBlue........unfortunately we will have to fly out of NY. (I try to avoid it if at all possible)

Has anyone use JetBlue before?
What were your experiences?
What channels do you get on the direct tv? (my daughter will enjoy this feature)

thanks for the input

We have flown Jet Blue many times and we love it.The flights have always been on time and the staff is great. The TV's get quite a few channels with Cartoon network being one of them. There are a few Espn stations and a bunch of news channels. My kids love JetBlue and I'm sure you will be glad with your decision.

We're flying with JetBlue in November. From what I've heard they're supposed to be really good. They're flights are usually on time. The Direct TV is really nice, and they have leather seats too. The planes are all new airbuses. JetBlue is installing Bullet-Proof, Dead-Bolted Cockpit Doors in all of their planes by the end of October. Here's the link for the press release: http://www.jetblue.com/learnmore/pressDetail.asp?newsId=92

I have friends that have flown with them and absolutley loved them. I would definately fly them if they were at ISP. I just hate trekking to the city. BTW anyone have updated info about them coming to ISP yet?

Jet Blue is GREAT. There are a ton of TV channels and we found the seats to be very comfortable. their customer service was great too.

The only down side is no meal service. We flew a longer flight so we brought food on from the airort food court. From NY-MCO it should be OK. :)

My sister tells me it's "Very nice." (and she's not liberal with her praise).

I'm flying JetBlue on November 21st. I'm looking forward to it almost as much as I am looking forward to go to Florida.

5 weeks!! Wahoo!!

We flew Jet Blue out of JFK in June and thought it was great. Everything went very smoothly. The TV is an added bonus especially with the kiddies. It kept my DD occupied for the entire flight. Arrival and departure was on time. One thing (very very minor) my DD didn't like any of the snacks offered but I can't recall exactly what they were.

Have a great trip!

Just was in Orlando, and the JetBlue crews were laying over at my hotel. Started talking with them, and they seemed like a great bunch of people. Also, flew United out of Tampa last night, and JetBlue's gates were right next door. They left on time, and boarding seemed fine.;)

I HATE flying but I LOVED Jet Blue. Flew JFK-MCO. Connecting flight from Buffalo was 1 hour late due to bad weather. They gave us free soft drinks and set up a video for the kids. Couldn't believe it. For only a short delay! Can you imagine US Air or United doing that? ALL employees on and off board were pleasant and courteous. Brand new plane, leather seats, cable TV. Same price as Southwest. Can't beat that! Enjoy!

Pluto, here's an email answer from Jetblue:

"Although Islip is not currently listed as one of our planned
destinations, we will be happy to pass along your request.

Please stay tuned to our website for upcoming developments!

Sincerely,

-JetBlue Customer Commitment Crew"

I also called operations at ISP, and they haven't heard anything. They said Jetblue visited the airport, but that was before Southwest came in.
I really dont think they would be allowed to say anything, if they did know anything.
It would be great if they did decide to come to ISP.

I "heard" the contracts are already drawn up and awaiting a signature from an ISP official. Oh well, hurry up and wait.
I have nothing against SWA, there rates and service are great. I would just like a few additional non-stops to MCO and back daily. The TV's wouldn't hurt my feelings either :)
