JetBlue will announce service to Hartford this coming week. Non-stops to Orlando, as well as Fort Lauderdale.

Oooooooooh, I hope you are right!!!!!!! We still need to book our return flight in August and the least expensive is $210 pp. I really hope Jetblue is less. Thanks for the info!!:yay:

Congratulations. We love JB. Hopefully this means they are getting ready to open their next window timeframe. Waiting for my November flights to open.

Maybe Southwest will start lowering their fares now...I just checked and one fare was $273 one way, then $167 & $151...I've never seen Southwest wish such high fares....

Is there anyway to verify if this is true? I don't see anything mentioned on their website about this.

I hope this is true, too. We have flown several years in a row from Hartford to Orlando and I have never seen SW so expensive. I have earned one free flight with Southwest Rewards Credit Card but I will still look at JetBlue to see if it will be cheaper.

Why is SW so expensive this year?

Do you have a source on this? This would be fantastic. Give me another option if HPN is too expensive.

I heard Jet Blue was coming to Hartford but no date mentioned, I sorta figured when they came they would not have direct non stop flights since for years Delta was the only one out of BDL. I hope it is true, last year we flew out of JFK and were planning on HPN this year once the November fares came.

I saved a small fortune on my Sept trip flying on JetBlue out of Boston instead of Southwest out of Providence!

That will be too late for our August vacation, guess I will keep hoping for a ding from SW, we have to fly out of Bradley so right now it is $850 one way for the four of us or worst case book with Delta for the same (they are $25 less pp but then pay $25 for each suitcase brings it to the exact same price.):headache:

I just went on the JetBlue web and BDL was listed . . . but no flights are available yet. My DH said that he read that flights would start in June. I am also surprised at how high SW is for Sept. I am booked at $114.00. I usually do not pay over $100.00. That cheapest was $69.00 three years ago. Maybe the compitition will be good!

We were so excited to see begin flights from Bradley, especially since Southwest is reducing their FL flights starting in Aug. Just booked JB for Christmas week but the flights from BDL were high - $1738 for 3 of us. so booked through Newburgh for $1050!

Our NBC news just announce Jet Blues arrival to BDL. They mentioned a special rate for end of the yr but you had to book by April 30th! Sorry I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the story-- too busy dis'ing:rotfl::rotfl:

We haven't flown since 1 yr bf 9/11 -- not bc of 9/11 but bc our family got too crazy. kept adding babies!:lovestruc:lovestruc. Anyways we are an Autotrain family for WDW. DH works for Amtrak so you can't beat free right now.:cool1::cool1:

ds 11 and 9 just found out that it only takes just over 2 hrs to fly to WDW. they are quite bummed that we take the train(thou they do love the train!).
I told them someday we will go back to flying. They were too little to remember flying. Someday, someday.
