Today was the day. At least where Im flying out of, the prices were the same as they were yesterday, except you no longer can take a bag. I thought the prices would drop for those seats with no luggage...guess not.

Same here, but then again their prices for our dates out of Washington National in October have been far higher than the other airlines since opening day. US Air is $150 cheaper per person, so I am booking with them today.

Saw that too. I got my flight out of Reagan for my October trip on Sunday. Paid $128 one way. Today it would cost me $15 more. I guest I can't get a credit if the price drops since I'm still in my 14 day grace period. I do like that if you have to pay you do it in advance instead of calling bags on your return flight to prepay like I have to when using united to fly home from wdw.

I booked 4 tickets on Jet Blue out of Reagan for this coming October. When I booked about a month ago there was no mention of this, does that mean we are "grandfathered" in and wont be charged for our first checked bag?

Only those booking as of today have to pay for their first bag. Those of us that booked yesterday, or before, still get that first checked bag free. No worries.

Technically you're not grandfathered, you actually bought a higher fare class ticket than those people paying the lowest price online today, which has more features (in this case, checked baggage). But yes, you get your free checked bag :)

Per DOT regulations, the Conditions of Carriage (CoC) when you purchased your ticket are the ones in effect for your flight. This goes for all airlines when they change policies, not just B6, and is something to keep in mind if you're ever concerned about changing policies in the future.
