Jetblue schedule

We anticipated very high prices during April vacation 2011 since Easter is the Sunday we return. I just booked our flights this morning....a little less than $600.00 PP! OUCH....that really hurt the wallet!!:sad2:

But we really love flying jetBlue:lovestruc. I'm hoping that when I book for our May trip the flights will be a LOT less. ;)

ouch is right! WOW.....I'll keep looking at Jetblue and may book with them if any of the flights I am interested in comes down...if NOT its back to SW we go.

Eeep. I was holding onto hope that the JetBlue prices would not be insane for April vacation week even though I know better. We are trying to plan a trip with 15 other family members for that week.

My rates are the same as always during a release. We had thought of going down on May 1 (Sunday), but considering that is the weekend after Easter I fear the airports will be a madhouse, so am now thinking of heading out on Monday May 2 and staying another day on the end of the trip. My rate on Sunday is $109 out of Dulles and $81 on Monday out of Dulles. $81 is the norm for us. The fear of a super packed airport on Sunday May 1 is my worse concern right now.

OK I just checked the same flights again and they went down a bit. Should I just bite the bullet and book...will they go back up? Right now its at $1,957.60 for 4 people round trip direct flights...April 14th coming back on the 22nd. ANy insight? We have never traveled the week prior to Easter:confused3

That isn't a bad price for school vacation week. 4 nonstop tickets for our dates is around 3K. I would jump on that before it goes up. Also, Jetblue is one of a few airlines that will give you a credit if the fare goes down, without charging a change fee.

mousefan1972, thanks! Where do you fly out of? I have the page saved right now and am thinking......I may just do it.

Did you take the plunge last night? I purchased yesterday morning and my flights are already higher (only a bit tho) this morning. We were figuring we would have to pay around 3K for 3 of us this trip (if we flew non stop both ways). We settled for a "1 stop" on the way down (BOS to Wash to Orl on the 16th) which leaves very early I must say...and chose a nonstop home (on the 22nd, because the 23rd was just too expensive...boo!)....we paid $1700.00ish. I'm not too thrilled with the times, nor the 1 stop....:confused3
But what can you do?:sad2: Just bad timing...April vacation AND Easter!! That only happens, what, every 7 years or so?:;)

Boston. The prices are outrageous on Jetblue for school vacation week. We've gone the past 3 Aprils and always go Southwest out of Manchester, NH. So, did you buy??

See, I'm too picky. I refuse to fly w/ stops and I refuse to have "bad" times, lol. So I chuckled at Jetblue's prices and will wait for Southwest to release their schedule. Last year I paid $1800 for 4 tickets, nonstop both ways, great times, Friday to the next Saturday of vacation week. Still very expensive, but way less than Jetblue. And throw in Easter on the 24th!! Ugh.

Booked with Jetblue out of BDL. We are only 30 minutes from this airport and its so easy to get in/out of. I know I paid more than ever for our flights BUT it is Easter school vacation week. So we got April 14th 3:09-6:00, returning April 22nd 6:55-9:43 for a grand total of $1,957.60. I will keep checking to see if the price does drop and we can get a credit, but if not at least I know we are all set and the boys get to watch TV on the flights which helps pass the time and keeps them focused (both get motion sickness and one is Aspergers) OK off to plan our dining now!!! Hopefully everyone else gets flights they are happy with:thumbsup2

Yay!! What a relief to get it booked, eh? And I agree with the TV's...my son has autism and I don't know how we would survive without that distraction. I've always wanted to try Southwest, but I'm afraid of many things including: no TV's, plus we need to be in the front, yet we have to wait til the very last moment to get on the plane... otherwise LOOK OUT! I would stress out wondering where our seats would be, if we would be together:confused3...etc. I have enough to worry about already with him! Oh how I wish we could have done direct both ways...but we just couldn't swing it!:sad2: I'm sure I'll be kicking myself as we try to get him onto that second plane...:guilty:

We'll be taking an "Adult's trip" in May and will likely try Southwest then!:thumbsup2 Of course we're gonna need that trip to recover from the first one! LOL!!:rotfl2:

Happy booking to all!!!!

Sending Pixie Dust your way for great prices on SW!!pixiedust:

MrsBLovesDisney... I hear you about getting on and off the plane, that's the exact reason we ONLY fly direct flights. I have had good luck with Southwest, they give us a special pre boarding blue thingy to allow us all to board together and get seats. We have been lucky to be way up front and always sit together. Jetblue is FINALLY flying out of BDL, and so we are very excited:cool1: Do you fly out of Providence or Boston?

OH HOW I WISH JETBLUE FLEW OUT OF PROVIDENCE!!! :worship: We drive to Boston! I keep sending notes to jetBlue to PLEASE go to RI!!! :rotfl: Maybe someday!!:thumbsup2

PS: What is the "special pre boarding thingy" they give you? Is that for the general public or for special needs? Thx!

Not sure what the exact term is but its like a Guest Assistant pass... I just went up to the desk and told them my son has Autism and needs to board a bit early and have seats that are together, and she just handed me a blue sleeve to hold with our boarding passes.... when they called pre boarding for young children, then people with spec needs we just got in line and boarded! You should check to see how far you are from Bradley... the parking is much cheaper than Boston too!
