Jetblue schedule extension?

I went into a "previous search" and then hit the "edit" icon. From there, it allowed me to check May 4-6th. But from the main screen it was only showing through April. I'm hoping the system isn't correct with the prices I'm seeing. I also checked June 15-17. Lowest price (with limited flights that work for me) were $134. Not good for the first day they open up the schedule. But the prices are similar to Southwest in May. Frustrating that airlines are cutting back on flights, so prices are starting higher and staying there.

Thank you! I did what you said and found the prices. I'm not too happy though. For our family of 4 it's around $1100 & not even good departure times!:sad2: I do have a credit which would cover half, but still I don't want to spend that much on airfare!

This is so frustrating. I can get through seat selection and then it tells me it can't proceed with my selected flights at this time. And the times are lousy, too......I can't believe what a pain this is becoming.

I'm on hold now because I could select my seats too but then it gave me an error message. Very frustrating after I have to put in 6 people's info.

My wait time is more than 25 minutes......

After holding all that time they told me they couldn't book anything either.....this really stinks!!!

I can't even see any dates or prices past April 30th no matter what I do.

Definitely a website problem right now. For me at least, I can see flights/prices if I go into any search (for example April 10-15). then if that search comes up with flights/prices, click "edit search" on the right hand side of the screen. If you can get a window to pop up from there, try changing the dates. It still says "flights available through April 30th" but it allowed me to see availability past that. Prices aren't anything to rush into anyway (depending on when you're going).

Hope this helps...

Thanks! The prices are through the roof! Like $250 - $400 for ONE WAY! And they have seem to eliminated the direct flights out of Portland!

The prices really stink & I had 2 weeks of Aug dates to work with and 3 airports! I even got desperate and tried May instead but no good either.

After 2 hours of trying, I am finally booked!!!

Good for you!!!:goodvibes
OK, tell me, did you get a good price because I am debating on just booking this flight for the 4 of us for $1061 round trip.

Looks like we'll be waiting for the Southwest schedule to see what their prices are like. :sad2:

Well.....I don't think it was that great, but since I was only booking for one person, I feel OK about it. I got a one way ticket from MCO to BDL for $149, including the Even More Space option. I went with the one way because their direct flights from BDL had lousy times. I'm risking being stuck in a middle seat on Southwest, but the price was OK and I get to Orlando at 9:20 a.m. instead of 1:45 p.m. JetBlue had the better return flight time (2:30 versus 12:30 on SWA) so that's what I did. My SWA ticket was also $149 with EBCI. I wouldn't be happy spending $300/person for my family of 4, but for just me to celebrate finishing my teacher preparation program, I'm OK with it:).

I just received an email saying that their schedule is now posted through September 2012.

Thank you for telling me what you paid! I wish I only needed to buy for one person!:lmao: Seriously though, I have never spent over $900 for the 4 of us any time of year, it's killing me to pay this price. But, this particular airport is only 20 mins from my house and I do have a credit but the times stink! I'm still not sure what to do but I don't want to wait too long because I am afraid the prices will go up!

jetblue WAS expanding today
but i spoke with a phone rep and their system is not working
they can't even check prices over the phone past 4/30
told me to check back in a few hrs

edit to add, the rep highly suggested not "going in" the edit way because she said there is a chance it will cancel any transactions made before the site goes public

I was able to book 5 tickets from JFK to Fort Lauderdale for $99 each way for the end of June 2012.

I decided to go ahead and add the $40 each way for the more space (due to my DH having a history of DVT's and I want him to be able to move his legs during the flight).

My whole bill for the 5 of us was $1497. I was okay with that.

I was out today and had been periodically checking with my cell phone to see if the dates had opened up. It was a little after noon when i saw June was available. So i had tried to do it from my cell phone but I kept getting an error message and finally just called them and did the reservation over the phone. I was on hold for about 20 minutes before a rep picked up. I was so relieved when it was all done.

I'm still shocked at their late August prices. I have never paid more than $250 round trip from PWM to MCO for a direct flight and can often get it cheaper (around $200 or so). Jet Blue's opening price is close to $400 per person (actually I think it was about $376 or so) and they did away with all of the direct flights.

From PWM Jet Blue usually is the cheapest when they are first released. Rarely do the prices come back down.

I was going to book using points but since Jet Blue ties the number of points to the ticket price I don't have enough points. I'm going to hold out for now. If Jet Blue doesn't come down we will either look to Southwest or AirTran although with those I can't use points. Or we will drive (god forbid) since there are five of us going.

I am so disappointed. Usually if prices are too high we don't go or we choose different dates but this trip is to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday in August. I have promised her for years that we would celebrate her birthday at Disney so my dates are limited since she wants to be in the world on the date of her birthday.

I was finally able to book our flights online. I got direct flights for $114 each way. I didn't think that was too bad. I signed in to my trueblue account and book that way because the home page wasn't going past April 30th.

I had to use the edit mode to get prices for 2 adults EWR to MCO, 5/18/12 to 5/28/12. No bargains there. My fare is $350 per person for my preferred times. CO is also $359 per person for my preferred times, but
I booked with CO last month at $239 per person so I'm happy I didn't
wait for Jet Blue. We fly home on Memorial Day so I guess the return flight bumps up the cost.

I was able to book going in through the edit button at about 1:15. I got $134 each way from BOS to MCO and $92 each way from LGA to MCO for a family trip in June.

Denise :)
