FOr those that fly Jetblue, is there really enough extra room in the front seats to warrant the 35 up charge? I don't really care about boarding first as we dont have items for the overhead compartments.
Wandering if I shou8ld upgrade our seats?

Thanks

It's really an individual choice. For us yes because dh is 6'7" and he can actually sit comfortably in those seats where as in a regular seat he is squashed.

I noticed more leg room.

We flew regular non upgraded seats down and I cringed at the $30/seat upgrade (there are 5 of us) on the way back.

But....I will do it again on the return! The main reason isn't more leg room or getting off first but it is that security line!

We got to the airport at around 5 for our 7:30pm flight. We ate dinner and then went to the security line and it was about 6-6:30 at that point. The line had a sign that said 30 min from this point and there were people behind the line so it was long.

But nope we didn't have to wait in it. We went to the first class or whatever it is called section and pretty much was thru in 5 min.

That was a Monday night in August BTW.

We don't really need the extra legroom (although it is nice!) but always purchase it for the expedited security line, early boarding, and fast de-planing. Love JetBlue!:goodvibes

Thanks that is good info to have

Did you notice if once hte plane took off if they let people that did not pay the extra move into them? This is something I would not do as I am a " pay for what you get and get what you pay for" person and believe it is wrong to just take what others are paying for. I wanted to know so if we pay the extra and not all the seats are taken in the upgrade section can we spread out a little if wanted.

Thanks again

You'll be able to spread out, if they're open. My experience has been that they don't let people sit in those seats if they haven't paid for it.

Thanks so I could upgrade the night before if they are not sold

DH is 6' 4" , so the extra legroom is a real plus for us (and why we try to upgrade on each trip), but I will also agree with the poster's list of perks above. All in all, we think its worth the extra $30-ish pp for the Even More Space seating.

Our flight was full so no one moved up. We fly from Hartford and jet blue has the direct flight to Orlando where as delta does not (yes I know there are other airlines but those are the ones be would fly).

But yes in a heartbeat and a hit to the wallet, I would upgrade for the return just because MCO is a tad bit bigger then Hartford and a longer line thru security.

We always book it because the extra leg room makes the flight so much more comfortable (if you've ever sat in the exit row, you know what I mean). Getting on & off the plane first and the expedited security are also nice!
