Hello everyone

We have been flying Jetblue recently and have though about getting their Plus MC for the added points, free checked bags, etc. I wanted to post to hear any experiences anyone has had with the card because it also has a $99 a year fee. Is there a better option out there?

I have the JB Plus as we almost fly exclusively with JB. With the bag fee cost now if just 2 people travel once a year it pays for itself and then you get the bonus of the 5000 points every year on your account. You also get a statement credit for any on board purchase of 50%. So if you buy 2 snack boxes on board at $11 a piece ($22 total) it will ring up as $22 but on your statement they will give you the 50% credit. Also if you book a JB Vacation you get a $100 statement credit per year. As you also mentioned you get bonus point for booking a ticket using the card. Also there is no fee for foreign transactions.

If you are going to continue to fly JB I feel it's worth it.

make sure you apply through Jetblue.com and not Barclays. When you go own JetBlue’s website it says 60k bonus and Barclays only says 40k bonus. So weird?

I'm getting my own so I can help get my daughter get a ticket to Aruba. My husband already has one of his own that we usually use for everything.

The 60K bonus is the best I have ever seen. I got 40k when i got mine. For me having to spend 1k in 3 months was easy as I had 2 R/T flights I had to pay for. I wish they had been giving out 60k at the time.

We have the JB Plus card and LOVE it. We've had it for a little over a year now and have gotten 2 rounds of free flights from PVD to MCO (last Sept and this coming May). We use it exclusively for groceries and restaurants (2x cash back on each of those) and any big purchases (read: my husband's lasik surgery, paying for our large group camping trip, the weekly daycare bill...). Honestly, daycare alone would get us the free flights once a year! The free checked bags is huge as well. For just DH and I, it pays for itself in one trip, but if we book others on the credit card, they get free bags too (up to the first 4 tickets booked). If you fly JB and you utilize your credit cards responsibly, this one is a no-brainer IMO.

I’ve had it for several years. When you book with trueblue points, you get 10% of the points back after your flight. Also make sure your cc and trueblue account are linked. If you have a joint account, only the owner of the account gets the free luggage perk for themselves and others on the same itinerary. My husband is an authorized user, but his card number is different than mine. To get the free luggage perk, the cardholder has to be on the itinerary. So if I buy a ticket for my daughter to fly without me, she will not get free luggage. These are things I’ve seen others complain about. If you use your Jetblue card to buy airfare you get 6x the amount. So even if I buy the tickets for my daughter and grandkids and I don’t travel I still get 6x the points since I used my JB card to purchase. I use my card for groceries so rack up the points. I also use my card for Disney cruises. This card has some travel insurance on it too. Pretty basic stuff, so you would have to check the coverage.

Yes, I would also reiterate that we too Love the JB card as well. It's well worht it even if you do just use it for the flights n stuff... I might actually start using it at the local restaurants that offer other perks from week to week. This 60 K offer seems to me like a no brainer for sure...I was only able to get 25 or 30 K which was still awesome...good luck. :thumbsup2
