I'm looking at flights out of Syracuse on Jetblue (direct), flying out mid-October.
What is a good price? currently I'm quoted $1288.00USD for 4 return.

Not sure about Syracuse, but out of Buffalo, you can get flights on Southwest or Jet Blue nonstop to Orlando for around $110 each way, give or take a few dollars. That would be around $880 for a family of four, roundtrip.

Thank you.

OP, we regularly fly out of Syracuse, and that sounds like a good price. Its cheaper than what we paid for our end of August 2014 trip (while we paid far less when the schedule was first released, those flights are now up to $786 pp round trip! :faint:), and in line with our flight costs from SYR in both August 2012 and 2013.

Also remember....when comparing Jetblue vs. Southwest from Buffalo, SW does not have assigned seating nor TV's on each seat. They may or may not be important to you (they are for us), but are worth mentioning when making your decision.

I managed $118 down recently, but it was only that low for a very brief time. Like a few hours. The return opened at $163 and never dropped. Those flights are now $193 down and $293 back:scared1:. I don't know how often you fly, but if the price drops you can get JetBlue credit for the difference. You have to use the credit within one year from when you made the original reservation, though.

Also, whenever you get an e-mail about JetBlue having a sale, it never applies to SYR, unless you want to fly to JFK. So don't count on saving money that way.

OP, I assume you mean "non-stop" and not "direct." ("Direct" would mean the plane stops somewhere but you don't have to get off.) There usually is one non-stop down and one non-stop back each day. I think the other flights require you to get off at JFK.

Yes sorry I ment non-stop. How far in advance did you see that great deal?

We are headed to Disney 8/25 to 9/5 and bought our return tickets on JetBlue, flying into Syracuse, about a month ago for $103 per person. At that point, the cheapest flight down was $144 per person. It is now about $162 and the return flight that we bought is $106.

Now we are waiting to see if prices go down any for our flight down. We usually fly Southwest out of Albany because they have always been the cheapest for us and plus we live just about right in the middle of Albany and Syracuse so an easy drive to either airport. JetBlue is normally very high for our dates so when we saw the cheap return flight, we bought it. Southwest prices for our dates will be released on Monday so I am interested to see what they are.

I routinely price this route. I agree with Gina that this is a good price for 4 nonstop on JetBlue out of Syracuse. You usually can't get JetBlue and Syracuse for the Rochester/Buffalo prices since you do 't have the SouthWest option in Syracuse. I would jump on 4 for $1288 JetBlue.
