JetBlue or Airtran

Trying to decide which of these two airlines to fly from Orlando to Rochester, NY in February. Myself, wife, daughter (age 8) and twin sons (age 4) will be flying back after driving down the first week in February. Both flights leave at approximately the same time, Airtran is about $50 cheaper total and it is a non stop flight. We flew back last year with just my daughter on JetBlue, she liked the TV. My question is which would be the better way to go since this will be the boys first flight, Airtran is nonstop, JetBlue connects in NYC, but has the TV and is probably a nicer setup plane.

This will be our first flight with all 5 of us so any suggestions are welcomed

I flew Airtran from Balt/Wash (BWI) to Mco in september with my 4 year old son. While this was not his first flight, I thought it was very nice. We had plenty of room and the attendants were really nice. They brought extra treats and snacks to him. All in all, it was a great flight and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I love the fact that they are nonstop. Who wants to change planes or have a layover with an anxious child in tow? Just my opinion!

I flew Airtran out of Philly last year and was impressed with the service and their aircraft. Lowest rate nonstop I could find. In fact I just received a quote from them for 25 people and they beat every other bid by far. I always try and fly nonstop. I had too many delays with connecting flights.

I have flown airtran numerous times from philly to orlando and DFW.....I have never flown jetblue...but my sisiter has...I would pick jetblue without a thought if it was just me($50)...but if it was my entire family I'd have to say I'd pick the cheapest..

airtran can be frustrating at times, slow to check in , canceling flights and not getting a another flight for hours...

Personally speaking......

If Jetblue was non-stop I'd take that. I love Jetblue.

However, changing planes can be a pain in the butt. So go with Airtran! Keep things as simple as possible.

I agree w/ Ms. WDW re: the plane changing aspect being a pain.
I love Jet Blue, but I NEVER take connecting flights. Too much can happen w/ potential for lost luggage. Also, once you are in the air, the next time you would be home. Bring items to entertain the kids such as little games, cards, books. I usually go to the dollar stor to get a few "new" toys. It holds the kids interest and I am not concerned if it gets left behind on the plane.
