JetBlue extension

We booked. I was hoping/planning on $900 for three tickets out of HPN. Came in at just over that with our preferred flight times and the exact dates we wanted so we jumped on it. Good luck to all:goodvibes.

SWA open up on Monday. I got 434 round trip yo MCO. That night it went to 660! Now it is 670! Still less than JetBlue 860$

Did anyone on here buy or attempt to buy the $209.00 fare on kayak yesterday? I'm just wondering if anyone was actually able to successfully buy at that price?

I didn't try b/c I never used kayak before but mostly because I have a decent JetBlue credit.

Kayak just brought me to the JB site where JB said flights weren't available.

For February vacation week I can get $277 round trip so I'm trying to decide. SW is way higher than that already. If I could have gotten the $210 that Kayak was showing I would have bought without hesitation but I hadn't actually thought about my cutoff point. If the flight had us getting back at a more reasonable hour (this one's after midnight) then I'd likely have already booked it but right now I'm just not sure. This would be easier if I knew what kinds of resort discounts to expect.

Booked 4 tickets on Jet Blue from Newark, NJ (EWR) Fri 4/5 to Orlando (MCO) and return Sat pm 4/13 for $247 round trip. I have 24 hours to cancel. Does this sound reasonable? I really needed to go to Tampa, but it was $200 more round trip per person, so I'll take the hour and a half drive to save almost $800 (4 tickets).

What dates are you looking at... I couldn't pull up anything under $1800 for 4 tix.

We got decent fares! We usually like to go April vacation, but this year we have to go the week leading up to Easter (I know, it will be crazy busy, but with our schedules, it was that week or nothing - a crowded week at WDW is better than staying home :thumbsup2).

Anyway, we got $310 pp flying down the Monday before Easter and flying home Easter Monday. Nonstop flights with great times. I would have been happy with anything under $400 for spring break/Easter.

I hope that some of those high fares come down for those of you who didn't see good fares today. :goodvibes

I did buy Jetblue this morning. Decided to leave Boston to Orlando on Tuesday April 9 at 8:50 PM $133 x 4= $532

and come back on Sunday April 21 (first time we didn't return on Monday or Tuesday!) at 7am again $133 x 4=$532

so $1062.40 total. :flower:

Not BAD!

I was hoping for better though, cause I still have to payoff our Disney Cruise that week. I usually take the kids out of school 2 days prior to vacation and 2 days after to get good airfare rates. This time they are only missing 3 days, which is great! We just frontloaded our extra days this time.

Hopefully Jetblue will drop their prices and we can get credits.

Of course I'll be checking for that everyday!!! Especially this Tuesday! Thanks

I was trying Sun Mar 10th to Sat Mar 16th from Buffalo to MCO. $1,109 return for two people. Yuck...

I'm in NH so I'm the week after you for vacation. I was looking at Feb 22 - March 2. You're competing with the rest of New England while I'm only competing with NH.

I remember last july not booking on the release day, the prices were insane. Then about a week later they dropped to where I felt was comfortable. Then a week after I booked the price dropped..then again..then one last time. Thus now we have a 362.40 credit that I want to use :badpc: so the waiting game continues!

That's encouraging!

oh yeah and I'm looking out of BDL, cause we are 30 minutes from there...but also have my eye on PVD, or even BOS. I'm sure parking at BOS will negate any savings though :(

Very true... we have a 4 day Dream cruise booked for the 17th-21st. Looking to add a night before and then 4 days after since my son's school has an extra day off Mon the 25th! Southwest has decent fares out of BDL for my days... think I'm leaning towards that instead.

we were trying for the return part of our trip into buffalo on march 16 as well, not so good prices . Quess I will wait and see if they drop before southwest or airtran release the next set of dates, got good prices going down and hope for the same coming back!:confused3

Booked today after waiting.. for April dates to open.. SO HIGH!!:(:( We have 1 stop each way which we have never done before but were able to keep the flights at $325 per person for Thurs April 11-Sat April 20th..

Here is my question if the prices drop and I can get Jet Blue Credit when do I have to use the credits by? I dont want to go through this waiting game again for April and will most likely go in the summer.. for 2014.

You have to use the JetBlue credit within 1 year from the date it is issued. By "use" I mean book a flight. You don't actually have to travel within the 1 year. For example, you can travel 15 months after the credit was issued as long as you booked the flight using the credit within 1 year of the date of issue.

I booked today too, and chose a 1-stop flight on the way down as it made the tickets ALMOST affordable. Yikes. We are flying nonstop on the way home, but compromised by flying home Friday instead of Saturday. I was really hoping to score an inexpensive flight, but I figure that at least we're booked now...and if the prices come down its a bonus!

Yep. I remember that too. I already booked our flight down from Buffalo on Southwest. I need something coming back on March 3rd but I won't be paying what Jetblue is asking now.
I think it will be fine to wait awhile and see. If Jetblue stays this high I am more than happy to use another airline. I think they'll drop though.
