I just received this email from Yapta (?):

Do you have airline fee fatigue? Well, there's good news if you're flying JetBlue! JetBlue has just eliminated their $40 re-booking fee. This customer-friendly policy change means that if the price of your ticket drops after you buy, JetBlue will issue you a travel credit for the full difference with no fees. Kudos to JetBlue for doing what’s best for their travelers.

So make sure you are using Yapta to track the price of your JetBlue ticket. It's easy. Simply enter your six-digit ticket confirmation code into the Yapta website at: http://www.yapta.com/enter/. If the price of your JetBlue ticket drops, we'll alert you to the savings and help you claim your credit quickly. Then, you can use that JetBlue credit to fly JetBlue again!

Remember, you have to book your ticket directly with JetBlue to be eligible for a travel credit if the price goes down after you buy. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us at: info@yapta.com. We'd be happy to assist. In the meantime, tell all your friends about JetBlue and encourage them to start tracking JetBlue flights with Yapta today!

Safe travels this Summer,

I thought the rebooking fee recently went up to $100?

Actually, in December 07' JetBlue started charging $40 to re-book a ticket at a lower price - where previously they charged nothing. (To be clear, this does not mean changing your flight time or date. JetBlue will charge you for that. This simply means that you're re-booking your same ticket at a lower available fare.) Now they've gone back from $40 to $0!

JetBlue used to give you the lower price if the price went down..

Starting in Jan. 08, they started with the $40 fee. So your ticket had to go down at least that or more. so if the rate went down $50, you would get a $10 credit good for one year.

Now I am not sure if they changed it to $100 from $40 with the increased change fees.

Southwest doesn't charge you to re-book your ticket at a lower available fare - but Yapta doesn't track Southwest ticket prices. So, you'll have to check their prices yourselves.

Now they've gone back from $40 to $0!

I got the same email from yapta. I went to the Jet Blue site and could not find any info to confirm the change fee had been eliminated...the only thing I did find was the change fee was $100 as someone mentioned in an earlier post. I have sent an email to yapta to ask for more info.
Could you (or anyone else) provide a link or any additional info regarding the elimination of the fee to get the lower price on a booked flight?
Thanks!

I am on the phone with Jetblue right now getting a credit because my flight dropped.

Thanks Yapta for the heads up!

I called last night after reading the boards. I had no problem at all. got the credit and they dropped the charge!

I just checked the fare for my flight that I booked last month and it is now $100+ MORE. Eeep. Glad I booked when I did.
