Jetblue has already changed my flight numbers and times twice for our December trip. I am worried they will do it again. I am already missing a dinner reservation for our first night. and we now will be getting home to ur house around midnight and I have to work the next day! ugh:eek:
and I was hoping the kids could get to school. I just hope they don't change them again. Anyone else have this happen and any experience with them continuing to change them? We have never flown Jetblue before.
I know I will be just happy to get there anyway, but it is a quick trip and every minute will count!!

Jet Blue changed our early January flights literally days after we booked. However it was only an hour change and it was in our favor -- i.e. we leave earlier rather than later which will now give us time to do a bit more on our arrival date.

Yep, they changed my upcoming outbound flight, which I haven't accepted yet because now I'm expecting them to change my return flight as well - the plane turns around and goes right back to Boston, and I can't see them letting it sit longer than necessary.

Not on jetblue but I had Delta switch our flight out of MCO home TWICE on us. The first time cost us two hours and I grumbled a bit but figured what can you do - the second time they bumped us ANOTHER three hours earlier. I immediately called Disney and complained about losing 5 hours (it would mean the difference between going into the park and catching lunch before going to the airport vs having to wake up and go immediately to the airport after all) and they were able to get Delta to switch us back to an later flight. The thing that rubs me the wrong way is that there was supposedly no record of my ORIGINAL flight so Delta was only willing to bump us two hours later at that point instead of a very nice 6 hours later flight that Disney tried to get me on. If I had called after the first bump it would have worked out much better...

These are the reasons why I book my own flights instead of doing it thru an agent like Disney or even the airline, I control things better and can check on them easily. The problem with some of the agencies are that they go though clearing houses for deals for their clients and the information gets to the airline a day after you book your trip and anything can happen between the booking and the finalizing of the tickets. Honestly you get this online to with the airlines but you directly booking them gives you better control of status issues. I seriously do not believe they don't have the reservation records for the original booking unless it was never made in time to confirm the seats. There is always a paper (electronic) trail that goes with the reservations. It's a legal issue they follow.

Yep. They used to have a very good track record when it came to changing flights/times. Not so much anymore. Now, they aren't in the same league as Delta, but they do make changes. My Dec flights have both been changed once so far. My flight down was moved from 10am to 11:10 am...wasn't too happy about that one. My flight home was moved back by 5 mins...but that one is the first flight out back to Boston that day, at 9:55, so we think it may be changed to an earlier departure time before we're done.

I'm actually hoping they change my flight going down again..if they do, I'll be calling them to get an entirely different flight. I will not arrive at WDW past 3pm!!!

yup.... our flight home changed bya more than an hour...later!!!:cool1: love it,since we have the next day to recover before life begins again.....so get extra vacation time before we leave! if it were the other way around, and we were losing time, I'd try to switch my travel....

TWICE actually...

Two years in a row my daughter and I took short flights on JB to DLR. The first year, they changed our return flight - moving it from 4PM to 9AM (YUCK!)

This year it was a bit more obnoxious. Less than 12 hours before we were due to leave, they changed our outgoing flight from 9AM to 1PM. The worst part? Since we were on our way to the airport, we didn't receive the notice. We got up at 5 to get to the airport at 7 and had to sit there until the afternoon. I travel with a service dog, so it was an interesting logistical nightmare! When I asked the counter attendant about the change, she said they'd made the decision to combine the two flights the day before, but it seems not everyone was notified in a timely manner (lucky us).

If I hadn't been heading to DLR I would have been one grumpy traveler!

No official word from the airline or Orbitz yet but we heard on the news that Jet Blue is discontinuing non-stop flights from Rochester, NY to Orlando beginning in December! We have tickets for that flight in January. I'm so ticked. I guess we have the option to travel either to Buffalo or Syracuse for a non-stop flight or take one from Rochester with a layover in JFK. I hate flying but figured I could handle a 3 hour non-stop flight. Wonder when we'll hear from someone officially so we can figure out what to do. I'm not a happy camper right now.

They ended up changing my return flight, 2 hours later, I was very upset about this, it didn't work for me, I ended up calling and was told they couldn't do anything for me. So I emailed them and ended up dealing with exuactive care and they were able to refund all my money.

Moral of the story, if it happens and you arne't happy speak up, sometimes it can help :)

Jet Blue changed my outbound flight 2x's already, but both times it was for an earlier flight. So now instead of 7:30, I am leaving at 6am. Hadn't planned on doing breakfast at Disney my day of arrival, but that's ok. :)

They changed our 2009 WDW flights 4 times between June and Nov. Nothing too drastic, but they did change by an hour or so in the end. They also just changed our 2010 flights by 30 mins. We depart 30 mins later than our original departure time. We have direct, non-stop flights both ways so as long as they stay that way, we're happy with any time change! We're also very happy with Jet Blue overall.

Thanks for the info. THey just changed my SIL and grandson's flight. They were suppose to arrive around 8:30PM and we are picking them up at the MCO. Now JB changed their flight by 2 1/2 hours and they won't be arriving until after 11:00PM. There is no other flight they can take, so would have to fly in the next day, so we are thinking of calling to see if we can get a refund so they can fly another carrier. We've not called fto confirm the change yet.

Generally, a change of 2 1/2 hours would be enough to get a refund. Just make sure that there another airline has a flight with times/prices that work for you before asking for the refund.

This will be my first time flying with Jb, They changed my night flight to a very early morning flight, that wasnt going to work with me. I called them & they were great & let me pick any other flight that day to change it to, with no extra charge. The lady I spoke with was very nice & gave me no problem at all about it.

Well, I guess the changes that were made could be worse, like some of the scenarios I read about here. I am just kind of bummed because we will miss our dinner reservation now. We won't get to the resort until almost 9 and that's too late to eat with kids. I know we will have a great time anyway. I hope our overall experience with Jetblue will be a good one. We usually fly southwest.

jet blue has always been great one time my flight was changed but that only cost us an hour. that was out of flying jet blue ten times

Jetblue changed our return flight last time from 6pm to 2:30ish. I called and complained and requested they refund our ticket. They did and I was able to book a later flight (5:30ish) on Continental for less money.

So in the end, it worked out well for me!

You would seriously ask someone to contact you with their record locator number??? You've got to be kidding right?

ladyhawk14624, I hope you know better than to fall for this. If you need to contact Orbitz, please contact them directly.

Frankly, I think it is creepy even if it is legitimate. This website has nothing to do with Orbitz or Jet Blue (or transportation in general). It would creep me out if the company I booked my travel through "stalked" me like that. It isn't as if this is a common occurrence (or it wouldn't be "customer relations" first post).

I know that Dreams Unlimited does that sort of thing, but this site is directly affiliated with them.
