JetBlue-Can you check seat availability before purchase?

I am a loyal Song/Delta customer, however I can't justify paying twice as much to fly on Delta than JetBlue. Therefore I am considering an inaugural flight on JetBlue. However, when I attempted to book online I did not see anyway that you can see seat availability before purchase. I am used to this option on Delta as I am somewhat picky as to where I sit. Is there any way to view the seat availability before purchase? Thanks

Unfortunately there is not. This concerned me as I too am a bit picky about where I sit on a plane. I decided to "bite the bullet" and just went ahead with my booking. (Aug 17-22 out of BOS). You can choose your seats after you purchase your tickets. It was a very simple process and you can change them as many times as you want. Here's a hint as well, checkout www.seatguru.com and it will give you the layout of JetBlue's aircraft. Ironically, JetBlue offers two additional inches of legroom to the folks traveling towards the back of the bus! If it will make you feel better, the flights on August 17th and August 22nd were wide open.

I've flown JetBlue before and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

If u call Jetblue they will tell you if the seats are available before u purchase we did this and had no problem
