We always take JetBlue. We love them. In the past we book the day the flights open. I have a trip planned for Aug/Sept 2016. Are the flights always cheapest the first day they open up? I am expecting flights to open up in November. Is that accurate?

Can't answer for sure, but that has been our experience. We flew last month, booked our tickets the day they went on sale in early November, and watched the prices continue to rise over time.

I got $89 for our trip down this past Aug. 2015 from NYC to MCO when tickets opened up. I doubt they will be that cheap this year. Just wondering what the trend is now.

With JetBlue we always try to book right when they go on sale. For our Oct. trip we waited too long and have to fly out of Laguardia instead of Newark. It did save us $900, which makes it worth it!

I would buy early. I waited too long for my upcoming trip and the tickets were more expensive than they were a couple months. :(

We virtually always book the day flights open, and so far, we've only ever seen prices increase after that time.

I agree with everyone else. We almost always book as soon as flights open (always fly JetBlue) or very soon after. The one time we waited we "paid" for it :sad2:
Booked our flights for this Nov. back in March and they're now more than double what we paid-we're also in NY but try to fly out of either Newburgh/Stewart or Westchester. In June decided to go in January and haven't booked yet b/c DH STILL hasn't learned his lesson......checked last night and our possible flights all went up by $50-$70. I'm booking them today!!!!
