Does anyone know how Jetblue boards their planes? We have flown Jetblue before but I cant remember how they do it. TIA
Row 15 through the back of the plane gets to board first.
Although they do pre-boarding for families with small children and others who need additional assistance.
I've seen them do it both ways. I also saw them once empty the plane from both the front and the rear of the plane. I wish all airlines did this. It was by far the fastest we ever got off a plane!
One time, when arriving into MCO on JB, my friend and I were sitting about 6 rows from the rear of the plane. We were directed to the rear exit. There was a portable stairway (the old fashioned kind!!) which we walked down, then across the short area of tarmac and then up some stairs into the terminal gate area. We actually beat the vast majority of passengers using the jetway!!! Loved being able to exit like that.I didn't realize JetBlue's aircrafts had a rear door. (other than emergency)
JetBlue uses an airbus & an embraer. Most of the time they board rows 15-25But I have been on their embraers before where it was not a full flight and since its a small aircraft anyway they just let all rows board.
I would think using 2 exits would depend where your destination is since they would need 2 jetways to disembark from. I've been on other planes in the caribbean where they roll up the 2 stairways to the plane to disembark from front & back. (but not on JetBlue)

Oh dear...you must have seen me doing the 'wave'!! I did feel like a VIP, so gave a little flip of the hand as I walked down...you know, to all my admiring fans!!! Too funny.Don't you feel like a movie star or VIP coming down those stairways? I feel like I should do a princess wave or something
huh... never encountered that at BOS. I'll have to ask my husband how often he sees that happen. (He is an air traffic controller up in the tower there)

Just spoke with my husband who is an air traffic controller at Logan. He said there are very rarely are their times that planes have passengers disembark through the roll up stairs. Although they often see passengers disembark from both exits on the smaller commuter planes that have the pull down stairs. He said that Logan has very few of those roll up staircases.
I am guessing maybe it depends on how busy the gates are. Maybe if the gates are all full and an incoming plane does not have a gate they will use the roll up stairs.?![]()
