JetBlue and Peanut/Tree Nut Allergy

Well, they did sell the right number of seats, like I said it's rare that a plane will be completely full though. In that particular case, I would think the right thing to do is to ask the people who took up his seat to take the next flight and this is coming from a larger person. Luckily someone else stepped in and offered a solution, but it would be what I would expect in a case like that.

Really, I have yet to experience a flight where every single seat was full, but I guess I should have said that Jetblue does no intentionally oversell their planes like Southwest and so many others do.
Jet blues policy is not to ask the person taking up more than their own seat to take the next flight. It is to have the person who now has half a seat take the next flight. What should have happened is another discussion for another time.

Yup. Dh was almost forced off a plane because although he had a seat, the people in his row took up their seats as well as his and he could not fit in it. Thankfully, someone flying solo saw our issue and instead of me flying with two small children, a double stroller and several suitcases to newark airport at midnight ( delayed flight) he offered his seat and took the next flight. So never say never

We only fly JetBlue anymore and every flight we've been on has been completely full so far. Only one I can recall was overbooked to the point they asked people to volunteer to take another flight. I'm sure it depends on where they are flying to/from and even time of day.

Apparently, I guess we have either just been lucky or we have more flights out of Long Beach, CA than other airports tend to get.

Newark to Orlando is a hugely popular flight here and JetBlue is usually the cheapest so I'm sure that's why ours fills up so often.

I've definitely been on full JetBlue flights, actually most of the ones we take our full and they are asking people to give up their seats. Maybe it that we are always flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale, so they are popular flights.

Thank you all for your input! We booked our flights today. As luck would have it, we are flying down on SW and back on JetBlue. I'm looking forward to experiencing a new airline for us that so many people enjoy. It's funny to hear that they are usually the cheapest. We have never been able to fly because they are usually at least $200 more than other airlines. But I think it's more because of the days/times we typically have to fly. This is our first mid-week departure return so we ended up spending $300 less than we had budgeted for our flights!

You have all definitely eased my worries about the PN/TN allergy on the plane.

Anyone fly out of Providence? How full should I expect my 7 a.m. Tuesday flight or 8 p.m. Friday night return?

I've been on two, of probably a couple of dozen flights. First one was just solidly booked. More recently the plane was completely full due to weather delays/cancellations - no, jetBlue didn't originally sell all tge seats, but they did need each seat for affected passengers.

Conversely, there was the exactly 1/3 full red-eye that allowed anyone who wanted all three seats to have them.
