We travel from Buffalo to Orlando. Have used Usair and SW(loved the nonstop!!) which were reasonable (less than 200/person).
Am now shopping for July and eventually Dec vacations.
Finding SW and Usair fairly close in price but Jet Blue and Airtran a LOT higher for my travel dates. (Thought that they were discount airlines...)
Anyway the ??? is for those of you with these options is Jetblue and Airtran typically higher or is it just the market in Buffalo???
Thanks:wave2:

In our market, Airtran's regular prices are at least as high, if not higher than Delta, but they run more frequent sales. Keep checking their website--I don't think Orbitz or Expedia price these flights when you do a search on them. Can't help with JetBlue.

Strangely, I have found for the last few times that Delta is the cheapest out of everyone. They don't have a non-stop, but I don't have kids so that really does not matter. The cheapest I have found are on the actuall delta website.

Generally, I've found JetBlue to be more expensive than SW for fares to Orlando. Sometimes the difference is negligible ($10 or under), and sometimes it's quite a bit more expensive. JetBlue is ALSO a lot pickier with your flight days. Fridays and Saturdays are the most expensive. And on the days that aren't as expensive, peak flight times are more expensive. I find that Southwest isn't quite as bad as JetBlue in terms of peak flights.

I also think that the difference in price is a matter of what you're looking for. Personally, I like Southwest's non-stop service to Orlando, and their staff. The only thing I DON'T like about them is that stupid ABC boarding situation, but that's just a personal opinion.

As far as JetBlue is concerned, I LOVE the planes, the assigned seats, the snack choices, and the flight crew. The only thing I don't like is that you can't get to Orlando non-stop. Again, just my personal opinions. Way more pros than Southwest for me, so I'd generally pay a little more for JetBlue.
