I am going on the May 8th cruise...and I have a jetski question.
My DD who is 6 would love to go out with me for a jetski ride.
Does anyone know of any that will allow me to rent and ride a 6 year old at any of the ports?
Any help would certainly be appreciated.

TY...

I am also curious. What are the age limits at Key West, Cozumel, and the Caymans for jet ski riders? Anyone know? - Mike

All the ones I saw were either 8 or 10 years old, i can't remember which!:(

we rented in St. Maarten at Great Bay (right at the pier) and my son was 6 at the time. We rode together and he loved it. They don't care or ask for age. They have kid life vests for you as well. Cost $40 per 1/2 hour. I hear they have one now at CC, but don't know the age minimums.

Oh.....well I hope to find one somewhere, anywhere....
Thanks for your help...we are cruising Western!
BOOHOO

I asked the question in another thread and was told they have them at Seven mile Beach in GC. I don't have any details, but doubt they would check age there either. Just put her on, there not going to say anything. She's with you. You should be ok. Check the Seven Mile Beach thread below, there is some info there. Good luck.

Try dune buggies on Cozumel .... cozumelhomes.com

We rented Jet Skis in Key West in Aug 2002. DH rode with our then 4yo DD and it was no problem. We used Key Kat Marine (Shirley's friend) and took the 2hr Island tour. We had a total blast and may do it again this Aug! Enjoy your cruise!

The one at CC is a tour and not for hourly rate. We saw it less than a week ago and got excited but....

I called DCL to inquire about jet ski rental at CC. My 7 year old would love to do this but they said minimum age had to be 8. It's 95.00 an hour for one person and it's a guided tour.

I see 2 posts for jet ski tours in Key West. Kat Marine and Island Water Sports. Are they both the same place? If not could someone give me give me some pros or cons for one over the other. Thanks

markey - Kat Marine & Island Watersports are not the same company. I can not speak for Kat Marine(although this is Shirley's friend and she recommends them) because we used Island Watersports. They were wonderful and we had no problems. The only reason we chose them over Kat Marine was convenience. Island Watersports is right at the pier where the Magic docks. It it about 200 yards or so from ship to jet skis, and DH liked this idea.

msh8675 - I do not believe Island Watersports had an age limit to ride with someone, but you would have to check. There were several young boys riding with parents in our group, but I could not tell you their ages. You can contact Island Watersports at 1-888-382-7864 or website www.island-watersports.com. I just went back and looked at a copy of the contract and it said nothing about age limit except to be able to ride alone you must be 18.

Thanks-I just E-mailed Island Watersports, no problems and convience sold me.
