Not sure if it's been mentioned in the thread yet, but just to add having just returned from a 1-bedroom villa at Saratoga - the regular coffee maker with the 8-cup basket uses the cone-type filters rather than the basket-style - and does come with a metal mesh filter so you don't need to bring your own paper ones. I still tend to bring paper ones along only because it saves a little effort not having to clean out the metal mesh one every time.

The Boardwalk villas use the combo keurig/drip machine and it has the basket-style filter for the drip side - and doesn't come with a metal mesh basket - so you do need to bring our own if you're bringing your own coffee. They provide the little pre-measured bags to drop in the drip side, but I find those to be terribly weak and always bring my own coffee (whole beans to grind, or freshly ground beans),

Love the thread! Here at Riviera with two rented Deluxe Studios. Both have Keurig singles (much to my dismay), so there must be a lot of variation in that category.

Thanks. I’ve edited the most recent summary post to reflect that Riv is a hot mess as far as coffee makers are concerned, and there's seemingly no pattern to what type of coffee maker is in which type of room. ;-)

You should be able to request a drip pot or Keurig Duo from housekeeping if you want a different type.

You should be able to request a drip pot or Keurig Duo from housekeeping if you want a different type.

I haven’t posted on this site in about a year. I logged in specifically to ask a question about the coffee makers at Riviera, and voila, an entire thread about coffee makers at WDW resorts. We’ll be at Riviera in a 1 bedroom starting on Jan 5. Is it a safe bet that I should be able to get a drip machine (even if I need to request one)? I hate Keurig with a passion and refuse to use it. I’ll be driving so I can bring my machine from home if need be, but I’d rather not. Last time I stayed there was in January ‘23 and they had that k-cup/drip combo thing which was unbelievably complicated to use. I’ll be fine with that again even though I didn’t like it……as long as I can use ground coffee I’ll be happy. Thanks.

Okay, I have my vinegar ready to pack to clean my coffeemaker when I check into BLT … But I also have over 2000 reward stars at Starbucks that expire in Feb 2026 and almost $100 cash on my gold card member since 2013

I also bring bottled water for the Disney coffee making in room .
I am trying to control caffeine cause I recently had caffeine withdrawal most painful headache ever !

You should be able to get a drip coffee maker. But I unfortunately can’t guarantee that.

YouTube videos of a Riv 1 bdrm as of 3 mos ago, and a studio as of 2 mos ago, show regular drip coffee makers, screenshots below. However, we have lots of reports of Keurigs. So, I apologize, but Riv seems to be the one place where I really can’t predict what you’ll have.

But…if some rooms have basket style drip machines or Duos, you should be able to request a different machine from housekeeping if you arrive to find just a Keurig single. Please report back after your trip to let us know what you had and if a different style was available from housekeeping.

For the Duo, an instruction manual is linked in post 139, if that’s helpful.

That’s great news. The Keurig Duos are really the best of both worlds, and what IMO they should have at all the DVC resorts. Enjoy your coffee, and thanks for reporting back.

Having a programmable drip coffee maker is an awesome option at Disney.

Adding a note to the thread about supplies…

If a room has a coffee maker, Disney provides a basic starter set of supplies, and you can request more from housekeeping if needed. Usual makeup of supplies is as follows, please post an update here if you’ve noticed something different, add pics if you are there currently.

Coffee - a couple packets of regular and one decaf, to match the type of coffee maker provided, and/or six k-cups (4 reg, 2 decaf) if a Keurig or Keurig Duo, generally Joffrey’s WDW branded coffee

Sugar, sweetener and stir sticks - individual items seems to be the current situation (used to be those prepackaged hotel bundles with one of each and a napkin) but they still don’t give you a ton of each item, so if you have multiple coffee drinkers who use more than one sugar apiece you’ll want to request more ahead of time (or snag some from the quick service area)

Creamer - usually six little mini-tubs of shelf-stable “creamer” so if you are picky (or have dietary restrictions) you’ll want to grab some milk (or half and half, if in stock) at the resort store or quick service, or add your dairy product of choice to your grocery order
