i am flying Jet Blue next week and I just realized that I know nothing about their procedures because I always fly Southwest.
Do I need to check in or print airline tickets. I usually have tickets printed when I get to the airport and they take my bags.

No need to preprint. Your seat is guaranteed on Jetblue. I always check in before I get to the airport but you can wait until you get there.

You can check in and preprint your tickets. Usually there is one area for dropping luggage if you have checked in and a separate area for checking in and dealing with luggage.

I usually check in and print my boarding passes before leaving home. I then use the skycap for my bags and they will re-print the passes out

Actually you will print a boarding pass, not a ticket.

Did you try checking out JetBlue's web site? It has the answers to all of your questions. It's a really good idea to browse your airline's website and become familiar with their policies before buying your ticket. It might save you from some nasty surprises.
