Jet blue

We love Jet Blue.

I've never had an issue with them and have been flying with them since 2002 when they where still new. The free bag is really nice now that we have DS, the TV's are nice too, not that we watch them anymore. The extra space is pretty noticeable when trying to maneuver a car seat into a seat. And the gate attendants have always been super friendly and professional.

I also agree with what everyone said about JB. We love them! Would not fly SW manly because I want to pick my seats ahead of time as I like the front of the plane.

I agree! I would NEVER fly southwest! I am just not into the whole get a letter to see when you board and guess which seat you will get type of thing!

JetBlue is a good airline. TV's in the seats make the ride a little better for the kids. From here, JetBlue is always $50-60 more one way and you have to pay for baggage. We fly SW as it saves us $$ and is more convenient. If the cost were the same and I had to choose, I would probably take JetBlue so the kids can use the TV's.

I have never heard anyplace of jet blue charging for baggage- its always the first bag is free. Even if it was 50.00 more than southwest each way I would still fly jet blue over southwest!

While we love Jet Blue and we do we also like what southwest offers. Both offer bags fly free and while Jet Blue offers one which is all I usually have Southwest offers 2 free. I also like knowing that if I need to change my flight if things change without a penalty or if It goes down in price I can easily go online and change it and get a credit for a future flight. I hate to pay $100+ to change a flight so Southwest wins there. I don't have a problem with their boarding. If I did I would just do their early bird and pay a little extra to make sure I boarded in the A or early B group. I usually just make it a point to check in 24 hours ahead to get a decent number. I also find that we accrue flights faster on southwest and I have been able to fly free many times without being limited. Other frequent flyer programs are too many limits on them. I like Southwest point system. Often it comes down to convenience and flight times. Southwest has a closer airport but if I can get a Jet Blue nonstop I will go there for the flight.

I think that pp may be confused, JB advertises 1st bag free so I doubt they really charge for it. Perhaps that pp had an oversized, overweight bag and was charged for that. We have a huge suitcase, and we are always charged extra when we take it so if we do bring it this trip we are expecting JB to charge us the oversize fee.

I'd say JetBlue is our airline of choice for many reasons listed here - free checked bag (we don't ever need more than 1 per person), comfy seats, TV, etc. The flight attendants and staff have typically been nicer than any other airline I've been on.

A couple of years ago we were scheduled to leave on Friday when an ice storm was predicted for Thursday night. They were so great in helping us make arrangements to fly stand-by on Thursday instead. We were separated on the plane from the kids but the flight attendants again were so helpful in making sure they had what they needed.

One of the reasons that we prefer them that I haven't seen mentioned yet is that they participate in the program where you can check in for your flight and check your bags at the resort. Southwest doesn't (or at least they didn't used to, not sure now). That is a HUGE convenience not having to do that at MCO. And this really puts them ahead of SW in our book.

Well, JB does offer a credit on a future flight if the price drops, but you have to call them. I was not aware that you can change flights on SW without paying a penalty. I have flown SW in the past and liked it (although I do not like their boarding procedures), but the problem I have with SW is there are very few direct flights from the Washington area unless you fly out of BWI. That's the furthest "local" airport for us. Also, you can't beat JB for the individual TVs.

We fly Jet Blue out of Logan. SW doesn't fly nonstop to Orlando out of Logan. I have flown SW out of Manchester & Providence but Logan is easier for us & I do like JB better.

JB has nice free snacks and their snack boxes available for sale are nice when you want a bit more.

I keep track of my flight prices on Yapta so I can call JB for a credit if the price drops.

I like that JB just changed their frequent flyer program so that points never expire. I fly enough to get free flights but my kids points would expire before they earned a flight. Now their points won't expire.

Jet Blue is great, we will pay more to take JB over other airlines. The only airline that has ever been better for us was Viegin America- that was the best! Unfortunately VA only flies east-west right now. We live in FL and fly to Boston, I always hope VA will expand their routes.

We fly JetBlue out of Richmond, VA... I find their fares to be lower than the other carriers most of the time. I just contacted them yesterday because I saw that our flight had dropped - only $11x3 tickets, but they had no problem giving us the $33 credit toward a future flight. Can't wait to fly with them to MCO in October!

How I wish I could convince Jet Blue to fly out of San Antonio airport; all these perks everyone mentioned and more; we had such an issue with an AA cancelled flight from San Juan to Houston; the only way we could get home was to fly AA to New York; then JB from New York to Houston Hobby (we drove to Houston for various reasons and flew AA out of Intercontinental); since our luggage was lost in limbo, AA was trying to put the blame on JB; All AA personnel, from the desk clerks who re-booked our flights, to the attendants, to the "customer service" people looking for our luggage, were the rudest people on this earth; JB was so incredibly nice and helpful and finally took it upon themselves when our luggage was finally found at IAH to DRIVE our luggage at their cost from Houston to San Antonio; I may drive to Austin or Houston Hobby in the future if the fare is considerably cheaper; that is how much they impressed me

We are flying out of Providence and returning to Boston for our November trip on Jet Blue. We love them and have flown them for years.

When I fly to TX for business I also like to fly Jet Blue. I think the seats are a little roomier than other airlines.

I am planning a trip in 2015 with my sister and a friend. They usually fly SW but I have convinced them to try JetBlue.

My own complaint about JetBlue is that if I fly out of Philly or Baltimore, I have to fly to Boston first and then to FL. They have no direct flights. I was able to fly from Newark (NJ) to Fort Lauderdale direct but not Orlando.

I loooove JetBlue. The first bag going free is a major selling point for me, and I've always found them to be generally cheapest for routes I fly frequently and their staff have always been lovely. I had to fly Delta recently for work and not only did I notice an attitude from the staff in general, but little things irked me, like how they give you one tiny bag of pretzels and then you get a cup of soda instead of the whole can. Like, I just paid $25 for the privilege of bringing a suitcase on a trip, and I have to share my can of coke with the dude next to me??
