Jet Blue will extend their reservations through January 5th on Sunday. Email message says that it opens up at 12pm eastern time on April 6th.

I'll be able to book my flight out in December, but my return flight is after January 5th.

Is it better to book both together or should I book my flight down as soon at it opens up and use any potential credits for a price decrease on that for the return flight?

This happens to me regularly for my October trips.

This is one of the pros of booking each leg separately: you can get the credit of just one leg gets cheaper.

Another pro is you can book with a different airline if they happen to have a good sale that beats Jet Blue fares.

The only con is that if you have to make a complete change of your trip, you're facing two change fees instead of one.

I don't anticipate having to change anything, but you never know, and I hadn't thought of that.

I think I'm leaning more towards booking the first flight once it opens up.

GRRRR, I have be at a bridal shower for 11 a.m.!! I have been waiting impatiently to see what fares are offered for our Dec. trip and hoped to be online the minute they opened up, and they probably will have gone up for the holidays by the time I get home. :worried::scared1:

Do JetBlue's flights open up early to other sites? I'm already seeing November JetBlue flights on expedia.ca.

Nevermind, looks like a glitch. When I select the seats to purchase, it says they are no longer available :(

Hmm, wondering if the posted fares on travel websites are accurate though. Even though they couldn't be booked like you said, I did see fares that make me wonder if I want to wait for SW to open their schedule in May. We are planning to go to WDW for Christmas, and $205 plus $20 something in taxes and fees doesn't seem too bad. JetBlue might be even be less booking direct. Then again, by the time I get home from the bridal shower, they'll probably out of the lowest fares! Thanks for sharing!

Just looked at the Expedia site-- glad we're not planning Dec this year. The schedule is pretty bad to/ from Buffalo. Usually they offer an early morning there & late afternoon back nonstop flights, but Expedia only lists an afternoon there/ early am back for nonstop flights. I'll be waiting for the next release as we're going Jan 10-14. Hope the times are better then.

Not looking so great from Boston to San Diego either. But we have to fly on either Nov 30 or Dec 1...,what was I thinking. It's going to be hugely expensive.

why not use the app?

Hmm...looks like there is an 8am flight out of BDL on 11/14. Not sure if I trust them not to change it to late morning/early afternoon? Wondering if I should chance it or just book with Southwest?
