Jet Blue Rates For Midweek August Days

I'm a dummy! I've noticed that JetBlue has offered $79 BOS to MCO each way on some flights on Tues and Wed only in August. These rates showed up when I checked the last 2 weekends, but they were up to 89 each way when I checked today and last Wednesday. I was just about to book yesterday, and didn't! Now that free dining is coming out to the public, should I book the $89 expecting that the prices will go up even more, or should I chance it and see if the $79 will come back this weekend?:scared1:

Ahhh..the law of supply and demand!

It's unlikely the rates will come back down. Since they are going up that likely means the plane is filling up and prices will go one direction!

I booked August dates from JFK about a month ago and the prices have gone up about $150 per ticket since then. Grab it while you can!

jet blue prices can be very erratic and sometimes do tend to go up and down. however, at $10 a head, i'd go ahead and book it now and lock yourself in. your worst case scenario is that the prices go back down and you call and get a credit. not horrible in my estimation.

I booked 4 tickets at the $79 rate out of BOS 2 weeks ago. Of course now another family member is trying to decide if they want to join us. I have been checking the rate and it was up to $99 and then even $114. I looked last night and it was back down to $79! Of course I didn't book it and I look today and it is back up to $99!

MNT568, that is exactly what I notice. It changes from day to day! I should just buy the $89 tix, but I'm so tempted to wait and see what happens this weekend! But the free dining promotion might get people thinking about summer vacation and that is why the prices are up today!
We're not going during free dining, about 10 days before.
Last year I waited to book airfare till May after it went up. Then it went down a few weeks later!!!
I don't want to get a credit if it goes down again, because we'd never use it before it expires!
Thanks for your replies so far everyone!

Updated... I booked the 89 today. Now I know the rates will drop this weekend and I'll have the credits! Just have to take another trip to use it!
Our trip is not during free dining, so I bet the rates will drop!

I have also noticed when pricing JetBlue that if I put in for 1 ticket it is $89 and for 2 people it shows up as $79. This does not always happen but for some reason it will price a ticket $10 less if there are 2 or more people traveling.
