Jet Blue Question

Hi,
I have a Jet Blue flight scheduled. There are 2 flights for the day one at 7:25 in the morning and the other at 2PM which I am currently booked for because it was cheaper than the early flight. I am just wondering if the AM flight goes down would I be charged a fee to switch to that flight? If I cancel the afternoon flight could I get a credit and apply it to the AM flight? Also, does anyone know if flights tend to dip down at all closer to the flying date? They are presently MUCH higher than when I booked. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Change/Cancel Fee Amounts - Effective May 17, 2013
Changes and cancellations made 60 days or more prior to departure date: $75 per person fee
Changes and cancellations made within 60 days of departure date: $75 per person fee for fares under $100
$100 per person fee for fares between $100 - $149
$150 per person fee for fares $150 or more

You can call at midnight the day of your flight and pay a small fee ($25-$50 per person) to fly on an earlier flight if there are seats and be sure of a seat. You just pay this fee not any difference in fares. Or you can go to the airport that morning and be put on a standby list for free.
