i'm planning on traveling from JFK to MCO from 4/5/07 to 4/9/07 and jetblue is my top airline...i'm getting $487 RT that seems really high i know it's easter weekend but still...do you think this price will come down??? especially if other airlines are lower and a lot of pple won't pay this high price??

I sure hope the prices come down. I'm looking to fly out of JFK 2/14 and return on 2/25. Right now round trip for two of us is $924.00. :sad2:

Jet Blue is not always the cheapest airline. On our last trip when I priced out airfare, Jet Blue was about double what we payed on Song. For our next trip it is will be a toss up between SW and JB. Whichever comes out with a fare that is below my pain threshold is the one I will book.

JetBlue doesn't typically change their prices over time, once released. They will run sales, occasionally, but generally they set prices for each seat in a flight, and then as the less expensive seats sell, the price goes up because all that are left are the more expensive seats.

I don't know about Easter week but I'll tell you what happened to me for my end of October trip.

I usually book airfare as soon as it comes out (330 days) but they were high so I waited for Jetblue (7 months out) and I was shocked that it opened up pretty high...at $277. Up here in Boston I usually pay between $100 and $220 per person so $277 was high to me. Well, then it just went up and up (to over $400 at one point but stuck at $377) and I was getting worried and scared that I'd have to pay really high prices this year or even fly with Southwest.

I checked Kayak.com daily and suddenly, without warning on August 1, the price went from $377 to $177!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

I JUMPED on it. Then hours later I got the email that they were having a 3 day sale. Then the very next day my flights went up $40, then $80 and right now they are up $105pp. I'm SO very happy I checked daily.

Good luck and I hope my story gives you hope. :goodvibes

I think these high prices people are finding when checking for seats so many, many months from now, are "fantasy" prices. The airline is seeing if anyone will actually pay these outrageous prices. When those with common sense don't bite, the prices will be lowered. Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about buying a ticket now for a trip next April, unless I were headed to a really hot vacation spot with limited air service, which certainly isn't Orlando.

It is ridiculously high. Check other airlines if you must buy now. I found a Delta flight for these dates with a RT price of $329.00.
