Jesus loves you over MK

That's completly different than when other posters suggest he should have his rights taken away...

Or when they declare him a threat to society because they disagree with his peaceful religious beliefs.

it's nothing more than a giant billboard or bumper sticker to me, it's not like I pull the car over and start screaming at the plane. I'm sure it's a highlight of some families' vacation. I've never seen the guy write anything derogatory in the sky. I'm just not a fan of reading about your beliefs when I'm sitting a stop light.

I love bumper stickers-whether I agree with what they say or not. It gives me something to think about while I'm waiting. I wonder what circumstances in that person's life led them to choose their philosophy, their religion, their political beliefs. It's interesting to me. I'm always on the lookout for Disney ones or any other places I've been.

Driving in my area can get pretty boring, because we do a LOT of sitting in traffic. Someone who puts a clever or funny sticker on their car helps.

the only thing I wonder is why someone still has the bumper sticker of their political candidate that lost six years ago still on their car. bumper stickers are like tattoos for your car, once someone puts one on sometimes it seems like they can't stop.

If someone used their own money, time, and resources to do it and did not violate the no-fly zone, I don't see why not.

If it is legal to do then absolutely anyone can.....I still find it offensive and I am Christian. Not everyone is, nor needs to be Christian.

Maybe it's the only thing holding the bumper on?? :lmao:

I have a couple of stickers for 2008, but I'm waiting until the conventions are over to put one on.

I'm a Christian too, and I think it's a waste of money. I can see how it would annoy non-Christians, and I certainly doubt he's creating any converts with it.

"oh, gee Harriet..look at that in the sky! Jesus loves me! I need to find a minister right away and get baptized! Let's go right now!!"

This made me smile. I could imagine someone holding baptims in the seven seas lagoon near the wedding chappel :rotfl:

So you know the bad conditions of the world aren't their fault, cause they voted for "the other guy." ;)

As for the skywriter, the message I saw may or may not have been from him. It was a weird day where there were messages all over the sky rather than the usual one I see that must be from the regular guy. I figured it was because Gaydays were coming up. The message I saw and objected to said something to the effect of Jesus hating gays, but it used the f-word that is not allowed in our house. So that's what my issue is with, the hate message I saw. Another worry people have is not the message, but a worry about just how close it appears someone is flying to WDW. While this guy is not up to no good, it just shows someone who is up to no good could just as easily get close to the Happiest Place on Earth.

We saw it in June when we were at Typhoon Lagoon - a couple of guys from the UK and I had the same thought - Jesus might love us but boy does that pilot know anything about global warming and all the pollution he's adding to our skies? At one point, he was adding another message (forget what) and all you could read was "PP". My DD thought that was really funny.:rotfl:

we were at Islands of Adventure earlier this year and there was a family of six wearing matching 'Jesus' shirts in the park. all the shirts said on the front and back was 'Jesus'. it's things like these that make me scratch my head, because I don't have any clue what these people are thinking.

The F word is just as bad as the N word in my opinon. And I would have been HIGHLY offended to read that in the sky over Magic Kingdom. And yes I realize it is perspective and not "really" over the MK.

I guess they're thinking that they are big fans of Jesus. Would you have a problem if they were wearing matching shirts with "MICKEY" on the front or "CHER"?

I could do without the religious and the political T shirts at Disney-NOT THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO BE THERE-just my personal feeling.

I don't wear anyting potentially offensive or controversial when I go there. I'm not there to make a statement about my belief system or my values-I'm there to ride the rides and eat the food.

if there was a family of six wearing 'Cher' shirts, I'd have them arrested on obscenity charges.

You know, after I posted "Cher" I started thinking...BAD EXAMPLE hahahah! But the theory is the same. What if it was a "Bush/Cheney" shirt? "Choose Life"? "Rock The Vote"? "Allah"?

People put stuff on their bumpers, they wear it on their chest, and apparently write it in the sky. It doesn't bother me...even the stuff I don't agree with. There is a guy locally who still drives around with a Rebel Flag draped across is back window (never mind the visibility hazard). You'll find Rebel Flag T-shirts at Walmart. I don't agree with the whole confederate pride thing, but I don't care if they wear it.

I think using insulting words like teh "f" word and cursing is terrible though.

Is it possible that someone in the viewing area might be depressed, considering suicide, contemplating divorce, terminally ill, mourning a lost loved one, etc., & this message might be exactly what they need at the time?
