Jersy Week crowds....

They seem to like Epcot more than the MK.
Now some NJ are really nice people - others seem to like to tell people how to do things - when not asked.....big rule followers (even if they are their own rules). Sorry did not mean any NJ here!!!

Too funny. Yes "we Jersey people" prefer Epcot over MK. We like the "edjumication" feeling of the place. And, you're right, only SOME of us are nice. Most of us are crass and bossy.:rotfl:

Well then, I'll have to ask my mom if I was born in New Jersey.

And ya know, I'm a little confused as to why this CM made it sound like it was a very busy time. I was trying to get a Fantasmic pkg for our stay and it was all booked up (at BD). He said to check back about two weeks before my dates because by then some availibility might open. I asked why and he said that conventions often reserve a large amount of tables for the Fantasmic pkg and then when they have a more precise number they cancel the overbooked ones. So I told him that I wasn't surprised that conventions were there at that time because I had tried to book my stay at the Contemporary back in January and there was no room. He then said "oh that's not because of conventions, that's because of what we unofficially call "Jersey Week" "etc...

Then I said "well, it's not like every single person in New Jersey can take their kids to Disney that week" and he more or answered " uh Yeah". So he really got me freaked out that this was gonna be mad mayhem. :confused3

Out of 20 kids in ds11's class this year, 5 were out to WDW that week. In ds8's class only about 3 and the teacher's aide.
In 2004 we stayed extra long, until the next Thurs. Dh has off for Vets day but our kids are not off from school. The whole place was empty that Mon and we were loving it. :cloud9:

Letting them miss a week is ok for a big trip but now that we're on our 12th this Sept. it's hard to justify. Makes me sad..:(
We're stuck with Jersey week, summer or holidays so we'll be Jersey week people for a while. I wish our school was off the whole week! (3 days isn't too bad though)
