Hi. The convention is set for Thursday, November 4 and Friday, November 5, 2004. Some districts may be closed that week, I lived in one previously that was, and other people may start a trip say on the 4th and run into the next week.
Hi Everyone! I am going to with my dh on 11/7 - 11/12 and I am hearing alot about Jersey week. Does this mean the park will be extremely busy?
I have also heard something about soap star thing? What is it and when is it? Does this also make it busy?
I'm from Jersey and we went Jersey week '03. I didn't think it was very crowded at all. The longest wait for anything was 30 min for the Safari in AK and 20 min for Dumbo in MK. Everything else was 10 min or less. We even walked right on a few rides - Mission Space being one of them. You will meet a LOT of people from New Jersey
The Soap Star thing started on the Saturday ending Jersey Week. That was our check-out day, so I personally have no idea how crowded the parks were. I do remember a post after this year's Soap Star thing that MGM was unbelievable crowded that Saturday.
I've read lots of differnet opinions about crowd sizes during Jersey Week, so i'm very confused!!!
My question is - how long has Jersey Week been around? Is it a fairly recent phenomena? I ask this because we've been to WDW four times before during the first week in November and found the parks to be VERY quiet! However this was in 92, 93, 96 and 99, so i've been thinking that Jersey Week has only been around for a couple of years! Perhaps soemone from 'Jersey' could let me know!
We're going in November again this year and booked it deliberatly judging by our previous trips - we'd be very disappointed if it was really busy!!!
I graduated high school in 1985, and Jersey week was around as long as I can remember - including back in grade school. We would love November - only 2 full weeks and school and 2 very very short weeks of school.
It may be that more people are traveling in recent years.
