Jersey Week..

Just realized we will be at WDW during Jersey week. We are there Nov 5- Nov 12. What are everyones thoughts about that. What should we expect?? That is also the first week of the Christmas party's at Magic Kingdom. The convention for the Jersey people is the 10th and 11th. I understand the Jersey people usually make either a week out of the trip or a long weekend. The party is on the 8th, 9th, and I think 11th while we are there. I was originally planning the 9th for the party, but maybe I should do the 8th. Will lines be chaotic during the week for rides ect??? It never fails, we always go on the wrong week!! One year we were there the week of Mardi gras, and I promise you, every single person from LA was there..!!! FYI, I already have all my ADR's, except if I'm changing party days I'll need to hop on that.

I think either party night would be ok and u should't make yourself crazy to change it (like stressing over new ADRs). Truthfully, jersey week is not what it used to be. A lot of districts don't take the whole week anymore - just the long weekend. You will prob run into more people from jersey than anywhere else but crowds should definitely be bearable. Hope you have a great trip!

Most schools in NJ now only close for the convention which is Thurs and Fri so not as many people take the whole week now.

We were there for Jersey Week last year and it was fine crowd wise. We also went to the 1st MVMCP and that was great too!

Just stay away from EPCOT on the weekend as F&W fest really packs that park!

When jersey week doesnt coincide with veterans day weekend the park crowds are low. When jersey week falls on veterans day weekend the crowds are much higher.

We're going to go to the Christmas party on veterans day because of the crowds we expect the end of the week. We have gone to the Halloween party a few times on the 31st and find MK even with a sold out party not to be very crowded.

My prediction is the beginning of your week you will be able to find parks with crowd levels of 2 or less but by weeks end they will be 8 or more.

Early starts and a little planning goes a long way that time of the year, hot days and cool nights makes it a great time to go, I think it's a fine time to go with F&W the Christmas party and a very good shot at seeing the Osborne lights also. I'm looking forward to this years trip .

We went last year during Jersey week. I was so afraid that it would be crowded. We did find it more crowded than when we went in September but crowds were very manageable. My DS was able to ride every ride multiple times most line 10 to 15 minutes long. Except a few like TSM which from what I read has a line no matter when you go. (We arrived at HS and my DH and DS went straight to TSM when I arrived a short while after them I took pictures line by 9:05am was already 60 minutes come on.... They waited about 20 minutes. My best advice use Fastpass and we were lucky DD was to small for some rides so we were able to untilize rider swap. DS rode his favaorites like TOT, EE, BTMR, SM, even TSM multple times with very little wait.. So I really think we get scared by some of the posts saying how crowded it will be but we felt crowds were bearable... Just utilize FP as much as possible...

I'm happy to know that we get our own week at WDW. Are there discounts involved, do we get extra FP. No other state gets their own week.
Really, no big deal we are more than happy to share the parks with everyone.

I am so happy someone posted about this!! My family and I will also be there during Jersey Week (Nov 7-17) and I had some little anxieties about crowd level as well. We also have all our ADR's set, and looking forward to MVMCP! It will be our first time going during the holiday season and we are very excited!
