The NJ State Teahcxer's Convention this year is November 4-5, 2010. We are planning to arrive November 7. Will we miss Jersey Week?

I believe that since the NJ teacher's association meetings are the 4th & 5th, the schools are closed at least that Thurs & Fri (some may be closed the entire week). So I'd say that Jersey Week would probably be considered as10/31 through 11/6.

So if you're arriving on Nov 7, you should be getting there just as everyone from NJ taking advantage of those days off from school is leaving.

I've never been there during that time, but from what I've read it doesn't really equate to an appreciable increase in crowds. I'll actually be there from 10/30 through 11/7 -- so I guess either way I'll have firsthand knowledge of this very soon! :thumbsup2

Found this thread thru a search and was wondering how do you think Jersey week will affect the Universal themeparks?

DH and I will be down Nov 1st - 4th

New Jersey week starts on October 30th and runs through to November 7th. Kids go back to school on the November 8th so parents have to be home by then.

We were there in 2009 and I think that the whole 'NJ week' thing is a myth. I didn't hear other NJ accents (besides our own) and the place was deserted. I took movies of empty parking lots from the monorail.

You can't beat Disney in November. Hurricanes are all gone, still warm enough to swim, crowds are low and when you get home, the holidays are around the corner so you have something more to look forward to.

We were there during "Jersey Week" in 2008 and found the same things to be true. The lines were nearly non existent and restaurants had plenty of available seats.
