Jersey Week

While we were looking at a reunion in mid January, it has now been requested that we do it during Jersey week. Although I would not choose this for my family I don't want to not consider it and then not have the reunion.

I've done some research and the crowd level seems to be around a 7 or 8. I'm thinking that translates to ~30 min wait for non fast pass rides and a 2hour "come back" time for the fast passes. Am I in the ballpark?

Still not sure how many people we have. I've got banked and borrowed pts waiting to make the reservations. I am doubting that we could get a GV at this late date but I'm hoping for 2-2bedrooms. We own at SSR but will be at MK the most so would love VWL. Do you think this is at all possible at any resort only making the reservation at the 7 month window?
If we end up at SSR I know that they will only consider the request that the 2 units be close to each other and not guarantee it. How far apart are they likely to be? Are the 2 bedrooms clustered at all?
thanks.

Go and enjoy your vacation.

We were there during Jersey week of '05 and I think I would have rated the crowds more of a 5 or 6. 15 to 20 min wait times for most attractions.

I've done Jersey week too with only a 20 min. waitlist at most. Use your fastpass and you'll be fine! The only problem is their wicked accents :rotfl2:

We've done Jersey Week 3 times: '99, '01 and '04. Normally crowds were about a 5 or 6, but 2004 was easily a 7-8. There were 90 min lines for Space, Splash and Big Thunder Mtns, as well as Pooh, Peter Pan, Test Track, AK Safari, Rock N Roller among others. The MK was so packed on Thurs & Fri, Nov 4 & 5, that we left after only a couple hours and headed over to Epcot where things were a bit better. We then did a 7 day cruise (Nov 6-13) on the Magic and I swear that at least 50% of the ship were from NJ :rotfl:
After 2004, I'm wondering if Jersey Week is such a good time to go any more.

I really think this is the attitude to take! The weather should be nicer in November. There may be still some F&W activities going on. Have fun!

We went during Jersey week in 05. We usually go in Nov. non Jesey week. The crowds were larger than other years, but not unbearable. We have never gone in January so I can't compare that for you. Most rides were apprx. 20 min. The biggies (splash mtn etc) were usually 45, but just use your fast passes! We did fine. Good luck & enjoy the vacation. Remember you can't make everyone happy all of the time. ;)

I've done Jersey Week and January (the end of the month) and Jan was much less busy, but also cooler weather.
