I've read lots of conflicting info on crowds during Jersey week- can anyone please enlighten me?

We are used to first week of May (I would say light- moderate) and this year we went second week of September which was pretty light except for MK.

Thinking about jersey week 2017....

Thanks in advance!

We went one year during Jersey week and never knew it was Jersey week. The only difference is there are just a lot of people there from New Jersey. Other than accents on people in queue lines, we didn't take notice of anything else different about that week.

It's generally noticeably more crowded than the weeks surrounding it. the frozen years might have been harder to tell as there wasn't really a low crowd time of year anymore. this year has been less crowded than past years for the same time period though so who knows. You also ahve to factor in who is saying the crowd levels. people that generally come christmas week will find any other time of year as dream crowds or always the end of summer as that gets pretty packed as well.

I think anyone coming summer or later next year needs to factor in that pandora will probably be opened (and there is a big presentation planned in nov this year which many are speculating we'll get a more firm date or season it'll open). Being non-disney intellectual property and a huge fan following that may not be disney fans I think we're going to see some new record crowds for a couple years which is probably when star wars and toy story will open and the crowds will continue.. this might be the low of the crowd storm year.

This year will be my first trip during Jersey week (or rather, the tail end of it), but it would not surprise me if this year's crowd levels when they appear for that week are not indicative of how next year will be. This year's Jersey week includes a national election, and a national holiday, in the same week. With MANY schools around the country operating just 3 days, it would not surprise me if more people than usual pick that week to travel. Next year won't have a national election AND Veteran's Day will be on a Saturday, so it won't impact school schedules.

We have gone over 10 years that week......nothing huge different to us.

MAYBE slight bump in crowds, but with regular crowds increasing each year who can tell??

It will not be a mob scene any more than usual because of JW......

Hey! Not all of us say "joisey" and sound like we're from an episode of Jersey shore. Some of talk like we're from Philly! Hahaha.

It's really kind of cool having a whole week named after my tiny, often-made-fun-of state!

I went during Jersey week last year and the crowds were very manageable. The only thing we had an issue with was the heat, but it was record setting 90+ every day. Very unusual

Lol! Are you saying I have an accent?
;)

Thanks for writing in- I really wanted to get the real scoop.

That's an interesting point about crowds in general.
But to be honest I would be really shocked if we see Pandora in 2017...

We went last year and it was great. I only remember one day in MK that we struggled to do anything but I think that was more heat related than anything else.

My experience has been that it is quite crowded on weekends, but not very crowded at all on weekdays. I would call it light-moderate crowds on average.

This has a ring of truth....but I do not think its because of JW. I think its locals. That week is also almost always butting up against Veterans' Day weekend. Holidays change the game quite a lot. Most weekends are much busier than weekdays....

Columbus Day and the weekend prior are more crowded than Jersey Week.

Thanks, that is helpful. We went one year during Columbus Day and it was cray-cray.... But that said, I have since discovered the DIS and am now much more savvy disney traveler! Not saying I could take on Easter break, but my weekly plan is much more strategic
:thumbsup2
