Dates? I've promised DSis a vacation for her and her teacher friends for next year. Is it always the week of a Tuesday Election Day?

I'm a Jersey teacher myself. I am trying to find out when it is since I'm hoping to book at standard studio at BWV for next year. I know I'll have to get on it at 11 mos. exactly. When i find out I'll post here. I am trying to find out but it has changed a few times in the past so you cant always count on the first Thursday and Friday of November.

I'll be trying to get savannah view villas probably a 2 bedroom, and maybe a studio.

Yes it is absolutely the 1st Thursday and Friday after the 1st Tuesday (Election Day) of November. Been 3 times and have taken the kids out of school for 2 1/2
Days each. Unless it's a presidential election then Tuesday is a full day off from school, along with Thursday n Friday.:thumbsup2

How are crowds and weather during that time of year? I like it hot, and would worry that it's too cold early Nov. We have gone in January many times as I have a conference that time of year and it's too cold.

I actually love it. Out of all days we were there, 17 total during jersey week, I beileve we had 2 or 3 cooler days. Maybe like 65 or so. For the most part it's usually around 80* for a high, low humidity, and chances of rain or slim too. Cool mornings followed by a nice warm day and maybe a cool night possibly.:thumbsup2 we even swim at the resort, and have done the water park too.

Thanks. That does sound great. I love the hot and humid but dh doesn't. When we were there last week, Thursday was nice and cool in the am and then warmed up with no humidity. It was perfect. I guess I need to look at our schedule...

Plus jersey week gives you both Halloween decorations and Xmas too. Especially osbornes spectacle of lights....which is awesome.

Jersey Week...if there are any NJ teachers or admin that can chime in here. .what percent of teachers actually go to "anything" remotely education related..15 percent? Be honest. .seems like it is a long weekend travel week!

I taught in NJ public schools for almost 15 years before moving to Ohio. I went to NJEA convention twice. Once when I was in college and once as a teacher. I learned a lot more at workshops in my discipline, math, than I did from the convention. This covered the span from late '60's through '90's...

However, I only travelled twice during those years, once to the Everglades, and once to WDW. We lived in PA, our sons did not have off when I did.
