Jersey Week 2010

I'm jealous too! We tried to get BLT but it wasn't available for our days so we are at VWL. I love it there tho so I'm not too upset!

We will also be at VWL through 11/7/10. Can't wait to see "yous"! :thumbsup2

:) First week of November for the "Yanks". In my Mississippi accent "those folks North of the Mason Dixon Line".

I think I might go down just to see the faces of the real southerners when they realize that only a very, very small percentage of the people in New Jersey look like Snooki from the Jersey Shore.

Love it!!!:rotfl2: Dont' forget your hair gel!!
I also will be attending Jersey Week and can't wait!!

I wonder how this became Jersey week (as in why did everyone choose that week to go), as well as how it became a crowded time to go. In my town, the kids only get 2 days off (4 if you count the weekend), so if you want to go for a longer trip you have to miss school. I figure that a small percentage of families wouldn't mind doing that, but that number would be minimal compared to the number who would go on a full week-long vacation, such as winter break (February) or Easter break (Spring). Since those latter two breaks are probably shared with other states, you would think that crowds would be much larger at those times, yet I have heard that Jersey week can be very crowded. Plus, it isn't like it is the only 4-day weekend on the school calendar.

I am a teacher, and I have seen very few families go to Disney during that week. Some, but definitely less than February and April breaks.

My kids only get the 2 days off also, but it seems as if nothing much is done for the other 3 days, for whatever the reason. They don't get any breaks in February, and the Easter break is definitely more crowded (& more expenstive) than the first week in November, which is why we go during Jersey Week. Our kids get good grades and we've been lucky so far with teachers who don't seem to mind.

Interesting. I doubt many in CT or MA goes there at that time since the school systems do not have a break then. Next year we will have off President's week and Easter week (which constantly jumps around). And we will go in Feb as it is less expensive flying and DW has to work next Easter Sunday (NICU nurse).

Generally when we go during Easter Break, we see crowds from MA, TX and one of the north central states (Michigan I think).

I wonder if Disney tracks this, I'm sure they must.
