As everyone now knows, this was somewhat of a sad morning. Keith had turned on the TV in our room not very long after the first reports were coming in about the breaking apart of the Columbia. Since it had only just happened, I wanted to believe that the crew would soon be in touch with NASA again, but the tragedy became clear when we saw flags at half-mast all over the property.

We went, briefly, to Animal Kingdom. It was just enough time to go on Kilimanjaro Safaris, visit the tigers on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, see “Devine” for the first time, and say a quick “bye” to Patricia the caricaturist before heading to the airport for our afternoon flight.

As always, it felt like the time went by way too quickly and I was sad to be leaving. I look forward to being back in a couple years or so, which is sooner than the time between my first, second, and third WDW trips. I also have another reason to not wait so long and, that is, new friendships. : ) So, until then, this not goodbye, but M-I-C ya real soon!

You had a great trip - time to start planning that next one - thanks for posting!

Thanks, Marla. While it may be a couple years most likely before I am back at the World, I live much closer to DL so I'll be tiding myself over in the meantime with that. :)

Thanks for a great report. You had a wonderful trip and made some great friends.

Thanks, nanajo. In the past few years, that's a whole other dimension that's been added to my Disney trips, meeting people. :)

What a great report! I enjoyed each installment. Thanks for posting.

Last days at WDW are always so sad and your last day was extra sad considering the shuttle disaster :(

I read all of the installments of your trip report and enjoyed each one. Thanks for taking the time to post them and I really appreciate your posting links to them on the Adults and Solo Travelers board, that was very helpful.

Yes, it's hard enough for me to leave a Disney parks trip without the real world bursting through in such a tragic way. :(

Anyhow, thank you for reading the whole thing! :)

Thanks for such wonderful trip reports! Wish I had read them before my trip, I went a few days after you left and there were some things you did that we didn't do and now I have to go back to catch up!!!

Your reports were very entertaining and made me feel like I was there too!

Thanks, BigTigg'r. So you missed some stuff - it's always a good excuse to get back! ;)
