Jenny's got a JOB!

Yayy! So most of you know I've been searchin' for a job, and waiting for this one personel manager to call me back. WELL, SHE CALLED ME!

I had just ate a chip and started coughing on it when she called me. So there was a whole lot of coughing and muttering on my part.

It went something like this...

"Hello"
"Hello this is Crysta from Wal-Mart. Can I talk to Jennifer?"
"This is her *half cough*" (Squeeee.)
"Are you still looking for a job?"
"Oh, most defini-cough-tely."
"How does a part-time position as a cashier sound?"
"*muttercough* Oh, sounds perfect!"
"Okay, great! I'd like to interview you tomorrow at 9:30 AM, is that okay?"
"Oh, perfect time for me. *cough, dances in chair* Where shall I mee-"
"In the back of the store. I'll be waiting for you."
"Oh, okay. I'll be there! Thank you so much."
"See you there."

Then I half-fainted in the chair. Wal-Mart isn't the best place, sure. But hey, IT'S A JOBBBB.

But what in the world do I wear!?! I don't really have any business type clothes anymore. Just jeans, tshirts and hippie dresses.

Sooooo, any suggestions!?

something nice. NO JEANS. nice top with maybe black pants would be nice. NO TENNIS SHOES. if you have any peep-toe shoes or pointy ones, that would be nice. or kitten heels.

No. I only have tennis shoes, flats, and flip flops. I don't wear heels, at all.

I plan on wearing the flats, of course.

I'd probably say some black pants and some flats, and probably a white shirt with a small jacket (like blazer type jacket).
You don't need to go all out for Wal-Mart, it's a part time job, so they won't take what you wear soo seriously. I remember my brother worked there for a brief period of time, and he probably went for his interview in a polo shirt and jeans.

They are nice. The ones I plan to wear are just plain, black ones. It'd be better that way.

I agree with everyone else about what to wear. My mom worked there over like Christmastime and when she went to her interview she wore a pair of my nice black pants and one of her nicer shirts with my UGGs and she got the job. so yeah just something nicer than everyday clothes should be ok.

So I think I went a little overboard with buying new things for my interview.

I got...

2 brand new tops (I couldn't pick one.)
1 brand new pair of pants.
1 brand new pair of shoes.
And a brand new purse.

I'm so excited, it looks really cute and I know I'm going to be really confident in it.

Don't worry, you'll do fine on the interview.

My first interview was at McDonalds, almost 2 years ago, and I'm still there today. But I like the job. There's really cool people and the managers are always considerate with making the schedule.

Sometimes it feels like more than a job.

After I applied I made sure to call them to make sure I stood out. I mean, they get hundreds of applications, I didn't want to just be another in the stack. Hopefully that helped.
