Jenny and Myca take on The World May 3-10 Updated 6/02

Love the Beverly tasting expression!!!!:lmao:

You girls are too-cute-for-the-World in your sundresses and shades!!! Looks like you're having sooo much fun. I was wanting someone to post a super-honest review of the Kim Possible game, so I'm anxious to hear more about your experience.

OT:I hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend! I know we did here. Lovely weather.Lovely Family.Lovely weekend.

Now back to the show!
The CM at the Kim Possible kiosk told us there was no hurry to arrive at our designated World Showcase pavilion so we got our fastpass for Test Track and began our tour of some of the countries on our way to Italy. This was our first time touring the WS. Last year we did a sort of sprint around the WS during EMH but we didn't go into any of the countries.

First up... Mexico! Ole'! Myca thought we had to climb all of the steps to get in!:rotfl:

Right when we entered we found the kidcot funstops. I was a little worried that these would be difficult to find so I had a file of all of the locations on my Ipod Touch. But alas, we never needed to use it. They were quite easy to locate.:thumbsup2 So, Myca got her little mask and stamp and sat down to color. I could NOT believe that the markers the tiny tots were to use were Sharpies!:scared1: I sat and wondered to myself how many toddlers walked away from the kidcot fun stop with a new semi-permanant tatoo they drew them selves or a new design on their t-shirt that mom will never be able to get off! (Note: I later learned that Sharpie sponsers the funstops so they supply the markers. But still...sharpies for little kids?Silly)

After Myca's masterpiece was complete we made our way to the streets of Mexico. It was so cool how you really felt like you were in a little market at dusk. It was beautiful!
DSC03259.jpg

We walked around a bit but Myca was really anxious to make it to China. She was most excited to see this country. I asked her why this country was her favorite and she said " Because they make all of my toys." I love a child's logic!
Next we made our way to Norway.

Before we walked through Norway we sat on a neat little rock platform with steps and ate our lunch. Good old PB&J.Yummy.

As we entered Norway the first thing Myca saw was the back end of a boat almost falling out of a building...Maelstrom! Myca was a little apprehensive after seeing the boat but I told her it was a very mild attraction. So we gave it a go. We really enjoyed it! I wanted to go again but the boss wanted to check out the shops. Being from the home of the Minnesota Vikings, we just had to do our best impression of the mascot...I had a little trouble with one of my horns!:cutie:

Time to go...Myca could see the Temple of Heaven looming in the distance.
But wait...Snow White!

Up next: Where are all the toys? :confused3The christmas donkey, and smurfs:cutie:

Smurfs! Excited to hear about them.....DW and I went for a quick trip in December and I was surprised/excited to find Smurfs.

I'm shocked! Sponsor or no sponser, kids and sharpies don't mix! Yikes. that could ruin a day pretty quick, not to mention the pictures you hope to have for years to come.

I do have to say, however, that Myca's mask did come out pretty cute

Enjoying the updates...can't wait for more!

I know!:)I couldn't believe it either...sharpies and children rarely mix:rotfl:

Goodness, I have been so crazy busy with end of the school year activities for my daughter that I thought I would never get back on here!:goodvibes

Now where in the world was I?...or should I say where in the World Showcase was I?! Ahh, yes...we had made our way to China! Myca was so excited to see China. We first stopped at the carts/gift shops outside of the actual pavilion to look at the beautiful umbrellas and string puppets. Myca just fell in love with those umbrellas! She begged and begged for one. My problem with getting her one was getting it home in one peice. They seemed delicate and I didn't think it would make it home without damage. Oh, I felt sooooooo bad! She never really asked for much on the trip but she asked for one of the umbrellas everyday. I should have just shipped it home...ok...now the guilt is eating me alive and I will be doing a google search to find her one after I am done here.:)
DSC03269.jpg

Anywhooo... we also thought the puppets were cute and we had a ton of laughs trying to actually work them! We just didn't get where to hold the strings.

After a few pictures we made our way into China. I loved the layout and the little carts selling trinkets. And it was practically empty so it was easy to walk around and check out the beautiful buildings. Myca went straight for the kid cot and got her stamp. Then she started to look for all the toys! :rotfl: I thought is was hilarious as she walked around with her eyes darting here and there...but no toys! I then took the time to explain to her that all the beautiful things she was seeing was much more important to China and their culture than the fact that they make her toys. In the middle of this conversation she totally stopped listening because she spotted more umbrellas and went to admire them. After we spent some time exploring we decided to keep moving...we still had to get our Kimmunicator for the Kim Possible mission. On our way out of China we stopped to snap a picture by the beautiful water dragon. All of a sudden I looked up from my camera and Mulan was on the bridge with us! But she didn't have a handler and just smiled and walked on by us...too bad...she was so very pretty though! I unfortunately didn't take a pic of her.

After stopping by the Outpost to let Myca beat on some drums for awhile, we finally made it to Germany. My heritage. I am mainly of American Indian and German descent. My maiden name of Scholla is German.
DSC03279.jpg

Myca was really good at finding the kidcots right away. She walked into the nearest building and sure enough...there it was! After she got her stamp we went to explore the store...and boy did we hit the jackpot! First off we spotted SMURFS! We love Smurfs! They are the smurfiest smurfs that ever smurfed! My sisters and I grew up watching this cartoon. It was our absolute favorite across the board. And with its recent DVD release, Myca is now in love with them too. So we stood there for a really long time looking at all the smurfy toys and we picked out a super cute Smurfette to bring home to my older sister.(Which she loved so much. She has is in her kitchen window and she said she looks at it everyday and it makes her smile.:goodvibes)

Now then next thing we saw was a huge Schliech animals display. My daughter has been collecting the Schliech animal figures since she was around 3 and I am going to guess her collection at around 150 animals from this company. She was so excited because they had some that we had not seen yet. She made a wise choice and bought the German Shepard since we were in the German pavilion.
After our purchases we were finally on our way to Italy. This is where we had to pick up our Kimmunicator. Right outside of Italy we saw something that made us laugh so hard and sing a little tune right then and there. We saw Dominic the Christmas Donkey!:rotfl: This is an old Italian song about a donkey that helps Santa climb the hills of Italy. For years I have sung this song around the house.(All year round mind you.It doesn't have to be christmas at our house to enjoy a good christmas tune!;)) Oh my, we laughed and then sang the chorus for all to here!
DSC03281.jpg

We didn't plan on spending much time checking out Italy this day. We just planned on getting our Kimminuicator and then coming back to check out the Pavilion later in the week. I thought it would be better for Myca to break the World Showcase into two days. On our way by I had to have Myca stop here and get a picture. Italy's pavilion is truly stunning.
DSC03283-1.jpg

After a little searching we finally found the little cart where we picked up our Kimmunicator. The CM gave us avery short tutorial on the device and away we went to Japan to stop the bad guys on our first secret mission...or so we thought...

Up next: We are finally on our mission!...maybe?, We found the Toys!, and Pick me! Pick me!...

Very cool. World Showcase is so awesome....

and that pic with Myca in the Italy pavilion is amazing!!

I agree...that pic with Myca standing in Italy is a great picture! Glad to read an update.
