Was Jennifer Hudson the American Idol contestant that was a singer on the Disney Cruise?
I would love to have a recording of her doing the Lion King song she did on the show, does anyone know if it is recorded?

I'm not sure but I did meet EJ Day from Season 1 on a Royal Carribbean Cruise back in 2005 - he was their lead male vocalist on the ship. He signed my cd and took pictures with my daughter and I. He was very sweet.

We went on a disney cruise last May'05, while watching the show, me and DH were really impressed with this girl who has a very powerful voice, then few months later we saw her auditioned at Amer. Idol, and i thought she looked familiar then she mentioned working at DCL, few hrs later we watched our vacation video then there she is singing songs from Hercules and Lion King, She's really good.

I must say - Disney had a hand in making her Fairy Tale dreams come true. An Emmy and an Oscar - Ins't she evn rumored to be a selection for the vocals of Maddy in the new Frog Princess Movie?
