Jennifer & Charley's 9/15/11 SBP/The Attic 12/9 Feat DisneyWeddingPodcast!

Here's our STD's. We weren't going to do them, but decided to go ahead with something simple. We ordered the magnets from Vistaprint. It didn't take anywhere near as long to receive as I thought it would. Maybe 2 weeks from order date to receive date. We are happy with how they turned out and everyone thinks they're cute, so I guess that's a plus!

Hi all!! I am super bored, so I thought I'd do a little update.

Here's a pic of the garter (or as the DF just called it.. my leg thing) I bought off Etsy. The seller was really sweet and wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. She has lots of different themed designs if you're looking for a garter... or she will customize one if that's what you want.

Next is our guest book. We didn't want the traditional book, or something really big. We ordered this book from Blurb.

We also decided to just get a kit from Michael's for the invites. I did those this weekend, so we could hand them out to the family while making the Father's Day rounds.

That's all of the pics I have for now. But me and the DF are just so excited and ready to go. We've been talking about it all weekend.. (it's all I EVER talk about :rotfl: )

The only thing that bothers me is that my little brother isn't going to be able to go the parks at all. My dad and step-mom are just driving down for the day. They're leaving right after the reception to head back home. Every single time the parks are mentioned, my lil bro just gets this heart-broken look at his face! :sad1: The DF has told everyone we would pay for his park ticket if they would let him stay overnight with them, and drive back home Friday.. Most of the family is going from Wed-Fri. Some are staying until Sat or Sun. Nobody wants a child staying with them though, because they're not bringing their own. I love my lil bro and all... but he can't stay with us on our wedding night!!! :lmao: We've decided we'll probably just take him down some other time, since we have the passes now.

Anyway.. thanks for reading along!!

Once again.. sorry for the huge pics. I did the resizing in photobucket but apparently things didn't go so well.

The garter looks great!! And I love your guest book!
Great job on the invites!!!!
I'm having to take my 7 year old out of school for a week to come to Disney and some of my family are really upset about it. But he would be the same way as your little brother, heartbroken, if he didn't get to go to the parks!

Thanks so much!!

We told my dad that we could all go down sometime together over the year and use our annual pass discount to help them out a little bit. Or even rent points.

Your invites are so pretty!!!
I also love the "No, just call me Grumpy" on them! :lmao::rotfl:

Just caught up on everything and I love the cindy dress! $60 does seem like to much $$. We have similar menus and mine is $41.50 a person. Check out my PJ so you can see what I am having. Good luck with everything!

I'm not sure how I missed your PJ until now, since you are getting married on my birthday!!! :woohoo: I also ordered out STD magnets from Vistaprint, aren't they fabulous? I also like your invites from Michael's. They have some in our color scheme so I am considering doing the same. I can't wait to see what else you have planned!

The garter is so cute! Love the bow! And I actually really like the invites--- and if DF weren't so set on making our invitations, we'd probably be getting ours from Michael's too. :D

I think it's sweet of you to offer to take him down later in the year--- he'd love it! (But I wouldn't want him staying with me on my wedding night either!)

 Thanks! We thought it was funny.

I love my dress too!! :lovestruc I saw your menu and the 1 thing that I noticed that was different, was we have chocolate crepes on ours. This is the 1 thing on the menu that the DF requested, so I can't drop it!! :rotfl: Thanks so much!

:woohoo: It will be a great day all around then!! Everyone really did love the magnets. I thought they came out really cute. The invites were very easy to do. The most aggravating thing was getting the spacing set up so everything was centered the right way.

Thanks! I really like the garter. At first I thought maybe it would've looked better with the main color being black, but I like it the way it is. We were going to make our own invites. I posted a prototype pic. Then we decided to revamp that idea and headed off to Michael's. We saw this set in our colors and decided it would be a lot easier and faster to use these... and it was!!

 Yeah the lil bro def can't stay with us. And everyone else that's coming and staying are adults... so nobody really wants to let him stay overnight with them. Oh well. :confused3 We offered to everyone that we would pay for the ticket at the park if they would just let him sleep in their room. Apparently they are all using this as a getaway from their kids. :rotfl: That's what they all tell us anyway. We don't have children and don't have plans to have any. The DF had a vasectomy a few years ago when we decided we def didn't want any children. Sorry if that's TMI!

Well.. don't really have any wedding updates. We've heard back from almost everyone on the invites. Everyone seems to be in. We did have to disappoint my little sister and tell her that her daughter wasn't going to be able to come. Me and the DF and originally decided we didn't want any kids there, except for my brother (11) and his sister (14). My niece is 2. I told her at first that she could come; because she told me that if her daughter couldn't come then she couldn't. I want her to be there, so I told her that she could come. The DF wasn't very happy about the whole situation, but he went with it... like he does everything!! Cut to now.. my older sister is saying it isn't fair that she is going. She also has children that won't be allowed to go because of the guest count. But she doesn't want to take them this time anyway.. but whatever. And the DF has been saying that I need to tell her to find a sitter, because she's probably only driving down for the day with my dad. So we told her she couldn't come. She was a little upset and said to count her out too. :scared1: I didn't want her feeling like we were trying to leave her out because she's our step-sister. We told her to find a babysitter. Her new bf and his mom are going to watch her.. if they're still together by then. She changes bfs a lot!!

On a side note. I had to go to the ER this week. I've been hurting in my right side under my ribs for a while now. The did an ultrasound of the gall bladder and said it looked fine..but they wanted to order another test to check to see if the gall bladder is working. I went for that test yesterday. It sucked!! I have horrible anxiety anyway, and I hate needles. Well between both of those visits, I have 4 blown veins and a very sore spot where they were finally able to get the iv going on both visits. I have these huge puffy dark bruises all over my arms now. :scared1: It's awful. Anyway, I got the results back today from the second test. They said that 1 shows signs of gall stones, and I need to follow up with a surgeon. 2 1/2 months before the wedding and I need gall bladder surgery. BLAH! I'm glad the surgery isn't anything major.. normally, if all goes well! We're supposed to be off work the week of the 4th, so I'm going to try to get something scheduled for around then. I don't want to have to miss anymore work. I missed a lot of hours this week already going back and forth to the hospital. As well as the DF because he's my driver!:rotfl: I don't have a license. Never had 1 before at all. Anyway.. now I have to find a surgeon!! Why can't they just set something up at the hospital? That's where I'll end up anyway when they get ready to do the surgery!! :confused3 Who knows. That's all for now. Sorry for the long ramble.

So the DF has decided he'd like for us to have a couples massage. We want to do the massage the day after the wedding. Which spa has the best prices but also has GREAT massages???

I'm so sorry. If it's any consolation, my best friend in high school had to have her gall bladder removed and it was a real quick recovery.

Sorry to hear about your gallbladder. My mom had her's out a couple of years ago and the recovery was pretty quick! Plus, she felt a lot better afterwards.

Just caught up on your pj. Everything looks great so far. Can't wait to hear more.

I agree that $60 seems high for your brunch, but what do I know. :confused3

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Just tuning in! :wave2:

I'm sorry to hear about your gallbladder! I'm 22 and I had mine out this past March. It was a very easy surgery and a quick recovery. I was in bed for about a week until I could get back into a normal routine. You just have to be careful what you eat for a while afterward! Good luck at finding a surgeon!

I had this done right after I had my son. Let me just tell you, the pain before the surgery was alot worse than the surgery itself! Sometimes I felt like I was having a heart attack
It's an easy outpatient surgery and quick recovery. A week is definitely long enough! I think I was out of work for about 3 days. But definitely watch what you eat afterwards! Even now, 7 years later, I have to watch what I eat sometimes.

:woohoo:  :cheer2:

79 days until we leave!! I'm so excited!! Don't really have any updates to share. I'm still waiting to here from the bridal boutique. I'm waiting for my crinolines to come in. I'm WAY nervous about this 1. They didn't have any big full ones when I went the last time to try on my dress. I tried it on with 2 of the smaller crinolines they had... both on at the same time. We all felt like it needed more body to it... so they ordered the quienciera (sp?) crinolines. I just envision putting this on and it being so fluffy that it just stands up by itself everywhere showing undies and all! :scared1: I hope this doesn't happen! :rotfl: it would make for some very risqué photos! :rotfl2:

BTW is The Attic only available to Wishes brides as a reception area?

Thanks for all the get well wishes! I'm going to call Monday morning and try to find a surgeon who will work with my money! Lol having no insurance is a major bummer!
