Monday, September 19th, 2011 (cont)

After a little bit of talk and hustle and bustle.. we got in our float. 1 of the CMs even said something about my eco-friendly TOMS! lol And they were super comfortable the whole time.... until.. (but that comes after the parade)

So I had my camera with me. I started taking pics as soon as the parade started.

That's not me refraining from posting so many pics of the parade. That was all of the pics I was able to take from our camera. My damn battery died!! I was SOOOO angry. Oh well, this gave me more time to wave and smile. lol

We did a lot of waving and a lot of smiling. We had a blast though. Riding in the parade was so much fun.. and definitely not something you get to do all of the time. We felt very lucky to be in it. It was very nice to ride by everyone and have them take our pic.. whispering that we just got married. It was very sweet!!! All of the little girls were looking at us! Love, Love, Love!!!

We made it back through the gates and watched the rest of the parade from right inside the gates. After it was over, they gave us some water.. and we all got our items out of the lockers. They also gave us a certificate for participating in the parade, and our Photopass card with our parade pics on it! Very cool.

We took off walking and decided that we were going to go ahead and leave, since that's what we had planned on doing before we got asked to be in the parade. As soon as we decided to do this.. the bottom falls out. I mean it flooded. This was the 1 and only time we got caught in the rain. It sucked. lol That's life though. We stood under an awning for a few mins.. then made our way to 1 of the stores.. where we ran into another family that rode in the parade. haha Everyone was trying to wait out the afternoon showers. We finally just said screw it, and we took off at a very fast paced walk. lol We were still drenched by the time we made it to the exit.

We hopped on the Tram, made it back to the car. This is the point where I realized that it's not a good thing for the TOMS to get wet. They seemed to shrink by 2 sizes. I swear it!! lol And Charley had on his burlap TOMS, which say they're not supposed to get wet... oh well.. you live, you learn.

We went back to our resort, so we could rest up before the DP that night. We both took a nap and a shower. Charley's nap was longer than mine though. lol I sat on the balcony and the couch for a while reading my book (The Help). It was so peaceful!!

So I think that's enough of these long posts for now.

Hey lady.. you saw what I did almost all afternoon Sat. (I worked til lunch) It feels like it takes forever to upload the pics and get everything posted.

-I have anxiety... am prescribed meds for it, but I choose to only take it when completely necessary.. which hasn't been for a while! lol So standing in lines kind of makes me want to hit somebody..
-I'm telling you, I can go into detail about nothing at all.
-I was in love with that rhino.. am still in love with that rhino.. would let that rhino sleep in my spare room!
-Yes we did autographs!! We made sure to buy our book on the very 1st day. We took it almost everywhere we went. (that's when we didn't forget it)
-Charley and I are def not kid people. We've chosen not to have any at all and have take permanent medical steps to assure us that it doesn't!!
-The borders are so stinking cute, it's ridiculous. I have about a zillion copies of the same pic, just different borders.
-I don't think any of the characters like to see you kissing. Maybe they're just jealous cause they're not getting any?!
-That damn iPhone made me want to throw it and stomp it and say all kinds of ugly words.. (which I did)
-AHH you crazy girl! I love Dinosaur. I have my own commentary as we're going through the ride. It tends to change each time... but always ending with AHHHHHH, that dinosaurs gonna eat me!!! hahahaha
-The parade was the most awesome thing ever.. well after the wedding of course! It was so much fun!
- I wanted to take the vests so I could use them in some kind of honeymoon shadowbox type thingy that I collected stuff for but will probably never get around to doing anything with!!
-I was kind of impressed with the Photopass pics. I expected them to all come out blurry.. just so I'd have something to fuss about! lol

And I love your long comments! If I didn't have those, I wouldn't have any at all!

Monday, September 19th, 2011 (cont)

So we went back to the room after the downpour at AK. We didn't just lay down for naps. I forget that we were starving. We went down to the Mara and got a quick bite to eat. They have pretty good food there and it's quick-service. You can either take it to your room or eat it right there. We chose to eat there, so we could watch cartoons! lol I had the half chicken plate. Charley had the bacon angus cheeseburger. All was good. Of course I'm horrible and didn't get any pics.

So then we took naps, I read, watched animals, took showers... just basically relaxed for a while.

Then it was time to head out for our Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party!!! WOOHOO!! We didn't have the DP on our wedding day. So I really wanted to go to 1 somewhere! (hint, hint) hahahahaha Anywayyyy..
Our reservations were for 8:15pm, but we wanted to get there early. We had already seen how the reservations and check-in system works at Disney. Definitely wanted to be early! Which we are for everything anyway. So whatever!

We got a Photopass pic before we went in since it was still dusky looking outside. But those damn people wouldn't get out of our way.

We didn't even bother going to look at anything or do anything. We went straight to check-in. The line wasn't so bad.. yet! lol We waited for what seemed like forever to me. Then someone was coming by to make sure our name was on the list and to give us a little card with our table # on it (I think ours was 101, or something like that)... then someone came by to give us a armband.. then they told us we would be let in shortly. Charley asked the armband lady where our table was. She pointed out to 1 that was right in front of the railing!! Score! Finally!! hahaha

So we were finally escorted to our table. It was great! We had our name card and everything on the table.. too bad I booked it months before the wedding.. in MY UNMARRIED last name! Needless to say, I was pissed again! lol But I got over it. We wanted to go ahead and get up to the desserts before the crowd swarmed them. On the way up there, we stopped to get our Photopass pic taken. I thought it was really cool that they had someone up there doing pics.

We went up to make our plates. There was so much to choose from, and it all looked delicious! We made our selections and sat down to enjoy them.

We ate all of our yummy desserts.. both us went back up multiple times to get more food!! Then we moved up to the railing to watch the shows. I knew from reading on the boards, that everyone would swarm them. And I was right. While I was going to bathroom, some guy came up beside Charley and wanted to save a section of the railing for like 8 people!! I don't think so mister! haha Charley told him that I was coming back, after that.. he could have what he wanted.

So we watched Memories, and then Wishes. I kind of tried to find a good spot to rest my camera.. that way I could just snap pics without looking at the camera. I always miss the show, and I didn't want to miss it from this view!!

After the fireworks finished, everyone started clearing out from the terrace. We had already decided to go back to our resort once they were over with. So that's what we did. We made our way to the exit.

Then we went back to our room and watched some late night tv. We are tv junkies, so it was nice to sit there and relax.. with a zebra outside.. watching tv!!! hahaha

Then it was off to bed.. not quite sure what time, but I think it was pretty close to midnight again.

-Yes in my spare room! It would be all decorated with stuff rhinos like.. like rhino stuff and all! Then it wouldn't be a spare room. It would be the rhino's room!
-I'm not the 1 that had the procedure done. Don't know if it's the same up there or not.. but around here, unless you've had kids.. they won't do anything medically for a woman besides birth control. Charley had a vasectomy! hahahaha No really, he did. lol
-That was the only time using Photopass for us. It was great. I highly recommend it for the honeymoon.

And the TR
-This TR is making ME hungry!
-Charley thinks I'm hilarious.. and he usually just stands there watching me act like I'm 10 or something. lol Good to know we have something else in common!
-I made ALL of the reservations in my maiden name. We are *******es! HAHAHA That's all there is to it. I made a reservation for the DP during our Xmas trip last night. I almost put my maiden name on there too! And I have to catch myself at work, because I still sign that way too! It's awful....
-I wish I could've eaten more of the desserts. I told Charley I was sneaking some of the stuff out in napkins next time!
-I'm ashamed of how much tv I watch sometimes. Especially reality tv..

We had the alarm set for around 6:30am, I think. We were having breakfast at Boma at 8:55am. We knew we didn't have to be in a rush.. we were just going right downstairs. We made sure we had everything we needed for the day before we left the room. We didn't want to go back to the 5th floor... even if we had an elevator to use. lol


We checked in and a seat on 1 of the benches. It wasn't long before we were seated though... right beside the buffet!! SCORE! haha Our server asked if we wanted coffee. From previous experiences, I said no.. Charley of course, said yes. He will put enough sugar and creamer in there until it's drinkable. lol But I tasted some. WOOWEE that's some strong stuff there! I drank the juice. YUM YUM YUM! Very similar to the juice at Tusker House, but slightly different. We both liked the juice at TH better though.

Our server notice our Just Married Pins.. and of course the veiled ears I had on and congratulated us. Then an older couple was seated next to us. They were celebrating like their 40th or 50th anniversary. We made some comment during the meal, and the gentleman told Charley to just accept he was wrong. He would learn after some time in the relationship. We then told them we'd been together over 10yrs, and we were just now getting married!!! lol He said never mind then, you already understand!! ha

Anyway.. that was of topic a little.. but not too much. Moving on..

Like I said, the juice.. delicious. The ham was very yummy too. Everything was good on my plate. Charley tried some of the different dishes... let's just say he wasn't a fan. lol He liked all of the regular type breakfast stuff they had. So all in all.. good meal.

When we were almost done eating, our server brought us this..

She said it meant Congratulations. We thought it was sweet. I didn't want to try any of it. lol As much as I say I'm going to try new things, I never do. I don't want to get sick. Charley tried a little of everything on there. I don't know what all of it was though. I know 1 was guava.

So we paid up and headed to the car... cause of course we drove again. We just weren't up for wasting time going all over the place on the buses.

We took the ferry to MK. WooHoo!! As you can tell, we love MK.

Of course we stopped for pics with the Photopass people. I was determined to get my moneys worth from that darn pre-paid disk

I'm sorry you had to sit through all of that. I just don't like deciding which pic to post, so I just post several. At least it's not ALL of them!

So after all of that posing..it was time for the show!

After that, we went on a few rides. The park was busy today as well.. but not as bad as it had been.

We went on the Jungle Cruise.

This was Pat.. our guide. She did an awesome job. She had a very dry sense of humor, which I love.. cause I'm the same way.

Like I said, we went back to our resort to rest before the party.

Here's the trail leading to the lobby area from the parking area. I love how jungley (FYI: new word) it looks.

I went out to the savanna overlook to see what I could see. Charley went to the front desk to see if our pics had arrived from our breakfast at Tusker House the day before. (and they had!)

Here's a few of pics I took during this time.. and it's just a few this time, I swear.

Charley eventually told me to come on! lol We went to the room to hang out for a few hours. If you've notice a trend by now.. you should know how I spent my few hours. (It was taking pics of the animals from the balcony in case you didn't know) I think we made a pot of coffee and sat on the balcony watching animals for a while. Then Charley took a nap, and I read.. eventually falling asleep myself. But I'll say it.. I told Charley I was mad at him cause he wanted to nap! I felt like we were wasting precious time. We could be walking somewhere right now! hahahaha

Here's some of the animal pics from our balcony. We had a pretty good selection today. I don't think I mentioned this.. but Charley asked 1 of the guides at the overlook if there were any giraffes on our savannah. Of course the guide tells us that our giraffes have been moved in, because it was time for there check-ups. That's the kind of luck I have people!!!

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 (cont)

So after we were good and rested.. we showered and changed for the Halloween party! We were so excited. I personally wanted to wear a costume, Charley did not. We decided to just wear our ears and the Just Married shirts we had made, and we would go as newlyweds!

Then we were off to the party!

We got the guide, so we would never where all of the character locations were. We weren't too worried about getting candy. Since we got there a little early, none of the lines had started yet. We went ahead and rode Space Mountain while we were waiting.

As soon as were done with the ride, we notice the people lining up for the candy here. The line wasn't long, so we jumped in. They were giving out really good candy! But this was the only line we waited in. I told Charley we could go to Wal-Mart and get some candy. We wanted pics with the characters in their costumes!

But we started to hear some really good music coming from somewhere. The stage was all set up and ready to go. The fog was already starting to roll out.

Dance Party!! WooHoo!!

I didn't take pics of all the old couples dancing. It was hilarious. There were more adults dancing than kids! We stayed there and watched for a few mins, then we were moving on.

We spotted Alice!! I'm not sure why she didn't have to wear a costume! lol But we got our pics with her anyway.

While we were in line for Alice, the CM told everyone she would be going to powder her nose soon.. but to stay put, cause the Mad Hatter would be taking her place. So as soon as we got our pics with Alice, we got right back in line. It wasn't a long wait at all. Less than 30 mins, and we got pics with both.

The Mad Hatter was really funny. All of the speaking characters were very chatty and friendly. They make cheeky comments to the adults though. lol I did notice that quite a bit. Anyway.. the Mad Hatter wanted to know if our costumes were for real, or just costumes. We told him that we had actually gotten married a few days before. Of course they ask where.. everyone just thinks it's so cool when you say Disney World!! We told everyone the details (as in Sea Breeze Point), but most of the CMs didn't know where that was! lol

Anyway, here's the Mad Hatter pics

Charley said he didn't remember me taking my pic by myself with Alice and then the Mad Hatter. I said I didn't, they just cropped you out! hahahahaha

I liked the way Pooh's tree looked in the dark.

Then it was time for Donald & Daisy!! They were so stinking cute. We had to wait in line for about 15 mins or so.. maybe a little longer. They had to go inside and get a drink about the time we made it to the front of the line.

I'll say it now.. we didn't get our pic with the 7 dwarfs, which really pissed me off.. but that line was ridiculous. And we didn't get our pic with Captain Jack. That line didn't move for like 15 mins straight.. and it wasn't because he was on a break.

-Yes I would devote an entire room to that rhino.. if they'd like me bring him home! I saw a very small rhino.. so I'm going to assume that was the baby. lol
-Yeah, crazy huh! I've been on the depo provera shot and birth control pills. I loved the depo shot, but had to come off because they started showing links to early osteoporosis (Which I swear I have) after 2-3 yrs of use.. I was on it for almost 7 yrs. I hated birth control.. so Charley took the next step! Great guy!! (I know that was a little TMI)
-No, the DP isn't during MVMCP. I wish it was. We're supposed to go to MVMCP this weekend. (I hope) The DP is scheduled for Dec 27th. We're off work that whole week, so we're going down for a few days. I hate paying for the DP, but it was a lot of fun.. and we didn't have to fight for a viewing spot. I love Wishes!!!
-Chris is just jealous cause he wants a rhino room like we're going to have. Tell him to just get over it!!


-I want some of that juice right now. We've been trying to recreate it! lol
-I have gotten really bad with the coffee. I love the white chocolate mocha when we go to Starbucks. But at home, I like classic roast, Folgers. I probably drink at least 3 cups a day.
-Boma was really cool!
-You should plan a trip for the fall next year. You'll have annual passes. You get them being a Wishes bride, right? Just say you want to get good use out your passes.. that's what I keep doing. lol

I told DH this info, and he says that's where we'll be going as soon as we enter the park! That's about where they were for Halloween too, if I'm remembering correctly.

Love love love all your piccies of the animals, so cute. I love giraffes and zebras - makes me think of the Lion King.

You got to be in a parade! How cool is that... and the dessert party. Oh how I love desserts, we did it the first night we were there and looking at your pics I realise how much I enjoyed it and how I need to do it again.

I know how you feel about regrets about photos with characters at MNSSHP. We did 7 dwarves which was a must for me and I made everyone wait for Jack but that was it for me. I love your pic with Alice and the Madhatter, particulary Alice though, I think she's ace.
