DF's parents have a home there...so its nice to get to go out there a lot in the summer. WE LOVE MONTAUK!! If I could live there year round I would..do you surf?? I learned to surf at Ditch Plains beach

Not at all! haha. I would love to try tho. Me and my MOH go every year....because she use to go as a kid with her parents...but her mother passed away and since her dad remarried the new wife doesn't like that idea anymore so I go with her. but i missed last year because I moved to Chicago. SO I am happy we can go again this year.

Good Morning

I know i have been MIA for a while....so sorry for the lack of posting on everyone's PJ and TR.

So I had my last critique for the year yesterday what a RELIEF!

I can now focus all my energy on wedding stuff! I am talking to my officiant tomorrow to settle the ceremony and I will post it when we are all done.

I really need to finish my program....I am waiting for my boss to go out so I can do a test print.

We had our engagement photos last weekend. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. The weather was sunny but freezing. I saw some of them but I should be getting the cd in the mail soon (i hope) I am planning on making a blurb book and I might display it on the table with the guestbook....or I am going to print some and just have them on the table.....not sure yet. Hope it comes soon so I have time to make the book.

DF came home with this dress as a surprise for me because I am obsessed with whales. so I am saving it for the honeymoon!

the necklace is on the left and the little clip is on the right

this is the picture and frame for the memorial table for my grandpa (i am the little one if you didn't guess!)

I also received the beer koozies I designed. Black is for the boys and purple for the girls.

So next weekend I fly home to NY to try and put everything together. On the agenda.....
-Final Dress fitting!
-Dyeing and cutting hair
-putting the pinwheel escort cards together
-Putting programs together
-finishing center pieces
-putting together escort card holder

-Table numbers
-Seating chart

So we still have a group on people who haven't RSVP yet....its past a week from the date we asked for them. Did anyone else have this problem? it totally BUGS me. Are they afraid to say no? or assume I know their coming? siiiiiiigh

Also I am having a terrible time at the seating chart....what is the secret!?

Also we are thinking of doing a little more for the ceremony but I don't want to shell out the money for a florist.....SO i was thinking of doing something like this but my colors and silk flowers? what do we think?

Yeah...it was totally random he doesn't normally do that so I was very surprised. I'll tell him to nudge Eric when he sees him tho

I agree! Lets get on some rides already!!! I was thinking about riding tower of terror today......siiiiiigghhhh. But today was the first day that I was butterflies in the stomach excited instead of nervous or stressed! yayayay! I feel better now. I agree Beers in Germany! DF will love that idea.

Eeeee! I'm so excited for you, hon!!! It's sooo so close now! Your wedding is going to be beautiful! I can't wait to see the final product. My advice is to ENJOY it! Really look around and cherish the moment. It goes by SO fast. All this planning and it's over in the blink of an eye. Trust me though, it's all worth it!

A lady at a bridal store told me that a week before her wedding she no longer fit in her wedding dress so she just started doing some crazy running, like she'd run for half an hour a morning, then again of an evening, she still ate the same amount and everthing like that, but apparently the weight just fell off her. It didn't stay off, but it was just the right amount to get her back to the right size for the wedding day. Maybe you could try that (or something like that, I don't think I've got the will power to run for an hour a day) and see if that helps you get that last little bit off. It possibly wont stay off, and isn't the best long term solution, but it might help

I really need to start exercising again... But with all the money I'm putting into the wedding, I can't bring myself to pay for a 12 month membership at the gym. I'd consider 6 months, but they don't do that apparently.

Will you post some of your engagement pics when you get them? I'd love to see some!

That is a good suggestion....Everyone tells me its totally silly that I want to loose this last few pounds....but I just have it in my head ya know? I have been on a mostly veggie diet (I am a vegetarian anyway..) so no breads and pasta and starches. which helped me to jump start my weight lost last summer....I donno these pounds are mean! hahaha. I don't look bad I just have a weight in mind.....hmmmmmmm. I will try doing that! thanks.

I was looking for gym memberships for a while....and FAILED hahaha. some of them do it by the month buut you have to pay a joining fee which is usually a lot. I have been using Jillian's work out tapes (which are GREAT) and my wii fit. but I have started to reach the point where i'm like WHATEVER hahaha.

I DEF will! I am sooo excited about them but Fedex STILL hasn't come with them. makes me upset! hahahaha...I want them so badly...I want to make a blurb book with them...and I don't like waiting. There is a website but I'd rather post the ones I like....instead of showing all of them

I'm counting down until the end of the school year, when work is done then I will be SUPER excited! There's 16 days left of school, then 5 days until my wedding, lol! So come June 9th I'll be running around like a crazy person yelling, "I'm getting married in 5 days!" LOL!

Vent….scream…..any other way to put it.

Okay…I need to vent..I am sorry….if you don’t want to hear this then just wait for another happy post in a few days.

SO. I found out last week that my friend Mia couldn’t come to the wedding (even tho she had already RSVPed yes) because she FORGOT to ask for the time off…..which I guess would be fine buuut…..she was driving with the best man!!! So then we had a BIG problem. The best man just lost her job….(for something really dumb) and was counting on the cheap trip. So of course DF was heartbroken….so we had to shell out the money to fly her and her GF to NY….$350 that we weren’t planning on.

She also has been slacking on getting her measurements in for the suit. She ignores me and goes to a friend to measure her. WELL that wasn’t good enough because she need to try a jacket on. So she had to go again. Meanwhile she won’t call the place to give in the measurements I have to…which means I get the totally annoyed owner….who keeps going ya know this is prom season and you need to get this done. He also says where is Michael’s measurements? WHAT? Pardon? So I text him and tell my mom and she says he is going to call them in. (or go..because I don’t actually know if he is has gone yet!!!!) So today I call in the best man’s measurements and of course they want a credit card….well I am not paying for it! I just bought her a plane ticket….she signed on to being the best man…so I feel like I’m dealing with a child! I understand that she just lost her job…but be a little mature please. She won’t even answer her phone. I’m sure because she doesn’t want to deal with it. So I have to give my credit card to hold the order…

At the end of the call…..Where are Michael’s measurements? Now this is my brother. I was in his wedding….and now I have put both my brother and my SIL in the wedding. This I have realized was a HUGE mistake. He hasn’t done his measurements and the guy is telling me he needs them today or its too late. Now COME ON. I was in his wedding and my sil freaked at me because I was only getting one dress fitting. She took forever to get her measurements in (like a month and a half past the other two girls) and now its 2 ½ weeks out and he hasn’t gone to get measured. I am so angry. I did everything for their wedding and now they are just don’t care. What bothers me….is they were so into being in the wedding….then they decided to get pregnant and that’s all they care about. Now whatever you want to have a baby that’s great….but don’t say yes to be in someone’s wedding and then slack off because all you care about is YOUR family.

Now I guess this may make me a jerk. But I am so fed up. This is NOT that difficult. I should not be running around trying to drag their measurements out of them.

I don't think you're being a jerk, I've been trying to drag dates for their stay out of DF's parents for months and I still don't have a final answer, we are under three months and the parents of the groom don't know how long they are coming to Florida for?

So I feel you. You agree to be in a wedding you live up to your comitments, no matter what might be going on in your life, you made a commitment.

Oh my god, that's SO frustrating!!! I'm sorry you're having to deal with that crap only weeks before your wedding!! I don't think you're out of line at all or being a jerk...I would be freaking out just the same. It suck that they're putting your big day on the back burner like this knowing how important it is to you. I'm sure if you knew this would have happened, you wouldn't have included them at all!

Hopefully you can get them in line because time is slowly running out. I agree wholeheartedly with Tink...they made a commitment to you and they need to respect you enough to follow through with it!!
