I don't think you're being a jerk, I've been trying to drag dates for their stay out of DF's parents for months and I still don't have a final answer, we are under three months and the parents of the groom don't know how long they are coming to Florida for?

So I feel you. You agree to be in a wedding you live up to your comitments, no matter what might be going on in your life, you made a commitment.

haha....it seems so insane....most wedding requests are not that HARD. Get measured.....settle your trip information....show up. siiiigh hahahaha

I am more made at my brother than anything. The best 'man' totally got that I was mad yesterday and took us out for a drink and apologized. she said she wants to help in anyway she can. But my brother really has no excuse. he is just being difficult. Best part was....I got a text later after i'm sure my mom screamed at him and it said the tux guy is a jerk. of COURSE he is. you have been pissing around and not getting your measurements in on time. He was sweet as pie to the best man because she actually got her measurements in on time (they called within 15 mins of each other) does family have to be this annoying?

Oh my god, that's SO frustrating!!! I'm sorry you're having to deal with that crap only weeks before your wedding!! I don't think you're out of line at all or being a jerk...I would be freaking out just the same. It suck that they're putting your big day on the back burner like this knowing how important it is to you. I'm sure if you knew this would have happened, you wouldn't have included them at all!

Hopefully you can get them in line because time is slowly running out. I agree wholeheartedly with Tink...they made a commitment to you and they need to respect you enough to follow through with it!!

no...i never would have. but what can I do now? blah After drinks with the best 'man' and his gf I felt a lot better. The gf is a good friend of mine...and because of all the crazy arrangements she is staying in my mom's house so she is going to be there the day of the wedding helping us get ready. so she will.....be an honorary BM or sorts....especially if my SIL is all self oriented again. I just can't believe they would do this...I get one wedding...they can have 10 children if they wanted...all I would like is a little focus and a few hours.

Can we go to disney yet?

Ughhh! I'm SO sorry you're dealing with this crap! I certainly relate to your brother and SIL caring only about their pregnancy. I had 2 pregnant girls in my bridal party (one was my SIL and the other was at the time, my future SIL). So it is a tough thing to go up against. Peoples' priorities differ depending on where they're at in life it seems. Doesn't make it right though!! I'll be sending some happy beams your way in hopes that this all sorts itself out.

For now, what you need to do is try to focus on the wedding being about YOU and your DF. Nobody else really matters. So hang in there, and although I know it's difficult, try to relax and enjoy this time.

oh wow. Its not even that i care that she is pregnant. its great for them but I not asking for much of their time to do the things that already agreed to. I would have preferred that they said no we want to have a baby and we won't be able to go to stores or do anything else. The best man's gf is being really great and promises to pick up the slack haha. they are getting married a year after us (almost to the day!) so she knows i'll want to help her. i'm so grateful she stepped up. (now if only i could turn back time and put her in the wedding instead...)

Yeah I know what you mean. It is all about us and our happiness...though because they are family and I did help them out...I was hopeful? guess I shouldn't have been. I have chilled out since I wrote this post...but I just wish they would call me or something and say they were sorry for stressing me out....which will never happen. DF has been great with me lately and understand that he should help as much as possible. he is the best. Thanks a bunch dear. I will try and relax! I'm soaking up your happy beams

Lets move on to happy! haha

So I'm taking in the happy means from Anjanette and moving on.

so after a minor....fight with my printer at work....I got the mock up for our programs! I am going to put them all together this weekend when I fly home! yaaaaaaay!

it looks a little dark in the photos but its navy not black ink.

We pick up DF's suit from the tailors the other day and it looks great! I will make him try it on for me before I take it to NY this weekend so i'll post pics when I do.

So I have 2 days to finish up and use my paper cutter for everything I need to before my flight on friday. So I plan on watching tons of Disney movies while I do that!

I should have more things to post tomorrow before the trip and then LOTS for the next Tuesday.

I ordered DF a present to give to him on the day of the wedding. I was going to do cuff links...but I didn't know how to change the shirt to do that...we had to buy a little boys shirt because DF is really skinny so I bought him a pocket watch because he always has a chain on (and loves it) and was complaining he wouldn't have a watch on the day! So his best man will give it to him. (I will post it when it arrives)

oh BTW everyone needs to keep their fingers crossed for us. British airways goes on strike the day our guests are scheduled to fly out! We are hoping international flights aren't canceled

Thanks! I wanted them to look like a clam shell. I'm very happy with them. Thanks too you I decided on adding another page and it made a big difference! I even got DF to settle on music so we can have a music page. tho my song is still a mystery! (which is how I like it)

I can't wait to see it! I got it engraved. I hope he likes it. though the best man said she'd steal it if he didn't!

hahaha I do that too often! welcome. Thanks! now I just have to put them all together! 50 to go! hahaha. I know its too crazy! i'm so excited. This weekend we are hopefully doing a lot of the stuff that needs to be done, like centerpieces, the programs, escort cards, petal bags. SO I will hopefully come back on monday and say "everything is all ready!" haha doubtful.

I am trying not to think about it. The ash is still flying around causing problems and now with the added British airways....it really worries me. especially because DF's mom is coming (she is flying virgin! thankfully) and he would be so disappointed. (but would never say it)

I did find out yesterday that one friend flies out today because he is doing a road trip while in america....so he will be fine. and Luke's mom flies out 4 days before the strike. so we are just keeping our fingers crossed for the other 4. (who all fly out on the same day!) I knoooooow the last month FLEW by. it took me by surprise.
