Wow! how exciting for you :woohoo:

BWV is my family's DVC resort and I love it there! :cloud9:

Thank you for the info on FW to WL btw :thumbsup2

Emma princess:
Thanks! We have never been but we are looking forward to it!!
That's excellent!! So jealous!
Thanks!
Yay for going back!! Anniversary trips are such a great idea!
Thanks! We can't imagine spending our anniversary anywhere else!
I'm so glad the DVC rental worked out! It really is a great deal, and congrats on BWV. My DH has stayed there with his family, but I've never stayed there. I told him he owes me one!
Yeah the lady we have rented from is extremely nice and helpful. We are very excited we have never stayed there. But it was on my list of top resorts I must stay at! Glad I can check another off my list!
Excellent news :thumbsup2
Thanks!
YAY! That's great news! :D
Thanks! :yay:

Good morning! Hope you all are having a good week.

Day 6 Part 2

So I left off that we were heading back to the WL. We got changed and freshened up then we took the downtown disney bus over to GF (its their second stop! great to know)
IMG_3328.jpg

This was our first time ever being in the GF and we were both impressed. We were extremely early as usual but I wanted to take in the resort and gets lots of pictures. The GF gift shop started me on collecting those charms for the bracelets because the GF one is so pretty!

We even found the stuffed dog (or bear?) lady that I have heard so much about! it was cool to see that she was actually real. For those of you who don't know..this lady comes to the GF everyday and sits with her cart of stuffed animals in the lobby. She has been doing this since the day it opened!

The band I thought were really cute and I loved their suits.
DSC_0170.jpg

I think the best part about the GF is the atmosphere and how there is always someone playing music!

I loved the floors and took a billion pictures of them but i'll spare you.

We then took a walk around the resort. It was such a pretty day out.

I was very excited to spot the wedding pavilion!

We made our way over to check out the pavilion! It was so nice to actually see and walk around instead of just seeing pictures.

There was no one around. I guess 4pm in the afternoon on a Sunday is not a busy time! :rotfl:

We then walked back to the GF to sit around some more and enjoy the music.

We got a nice big couch to ourselves and listened to this man play. It was so relaxing!

okay one more...can't help it!

After much stalling we realized we didn't have anything else to do so we'd check in early for our spa treatment! we were getting a couples massage. Neither me or DH had ever gotten a massage and we weren't really sure what to expect. We arrived and were immediately shown to separate locker rooms. No one was in mine when I arrived. There were showers, a steam room and a hot tub. (oh I forgot to take my suit from DH and had to run into the lobby to get the receptionist to get my suit from him because I didn't know where he was!) I choose a locker and then changed into a bathing suit so I could sit in the hot tub.
Heres some photos from inside

We were told to be ready at 6 for someone to come get us. When she arrived to took me down a long hallway just and DH was coming from the opposite direction. We choose our oil sent. of course I don't remember what it was! But it was for relaxing I believe and DH choose the same one. Then we were led into different doors. It was the same room but different doors. I did think we would be closer (I guess like you see in movies?) but we were kind of far apart. Really it didn't matter because it wasn't like we were chatting. Both our ladies were very nice...though I think they told us both to relax because we were nervous about what to expect! by the end I pretty much was asleep and totally confused when she asked me to turn over. it was 50mins but it didn't feel that way! It was sooo nice. Once finished we were given a ton of water and some oil to take back (which we didn't know how to take on the plane so it ended up staying in disney :sad2: ) We both went to our locker rooms....and my lady told me to sit in the hot tub for a little. DH's told him not to! I'm not sure who was right! :confused3 so poor DH was waiting for me!

All refreshed we headed back to the GF for our dinner at Citricos!

Citricos was amazing. We loved it. It is on the top of our list of place we need to revisit. In fact we kind of wish there was one near our house!

After our amazing meal we hopped the monorail over to MK. As we were walking down towards the buses the fireworks started! so of course we stopped and enjoyed them a bit.

it was cool seeing it from a different view! They make the train look so pretty. But I dragged DH away because we had somewhere to be. One of my goals for the trip was to see the BW. I had wanted to see it from the moment I saw pictures. Now they have a new meaning because we have officially booked our stay!!!

I have wanted a picture next to this sign since I saw Lurkyloo's

We just happily walked along the boardwalk enjoying the beautiful night
DSC_0416.jpg

DH took a million pictures.
DSC_0426.jpg

I really wanted to try the Bakery..but DH said no because we had just eaten a ton. (I was sad..)

I also had one other goal in mind. I wanted to see sea breeze point. Now...ever since I started on these boards I have loved sea breeze and decided if we ever did our vow renewal I wanted it here (I also have considered Epcot Morocco or Italy) so I needed to see it

When we got there, there was a couple....being a little too affectionate in public. Which was very uncomfortable. but they left quickly once they realized we weren't going to just leave!

So pretty. I had originally wanted to play games or maybe go to jellyrolls but we were having such a nice time just walking around. And clearly we were hooked because now we are going there!

Hey Jen. So excited for you that you guys are going back! Wasn't the spa great? I also got a massage during my honeymoon (although dh did not he does not like massages!) and it really helped to relax me. I can't beleive that was your first one! I am glad you enjoyed Citrcos, the food looks great!

Thanks! We are jumping for joy. Yes it really was! I was surprised at how much we liked it. Haha...I never really had another opportunity to go for a massage. But now I want more!! I guess they are addicting. We really want to go back to Citricos for our next trip. I wanted to try somewhere new but DH vetoed that idea and said we are going back!

What kind of camera do you use? You have so many great pictures, and I was thinking about getting my DH a new one prior to our anniversary trip.

Most of the pictures especially the ones around the BW is a Nikon D80 with 18-135 Lens.

The other camera is a Canon SD1200(these are usually daytime photos or ones of us together).

Both are great cameras and we love them. Really it will depend on your budget. the Canon is really great for a point and shoot but nothing beats our Nikon. Hope this helps

Awww that lady is too cute. I'm gonna have to look for her next month if I get around to the GF. I never knew about her until recently. The Boardwalk is one of my favorite places to just walk around too. It's something my DFi and I do for fun. I love the magic trick shows they put on...plus it's an excuse to get ice cream there too. :goodvibes
So have you already started counting down until you go back :)

She barely noticed anyone around her...and certainly didn't care/notice me take a picture. she was in her own world. I'm curious about her tho.
oh do you know when the shows are? or are they random? We went kind of late so there wasn't too much going on. Yep! So excited! I like ran home from work when I got my confirmation email! haha as if I was going right then and there.

lovely update!
I get soo excited to see pictures of the Grand Floridian - as that's where we hoping to stay for our honeymoon! :lovestruc we'd also like to do the couples massage and have dinner at Citricos!

I have taken so so many photos across Crescent Lake from the Boardwalk, it's so pretty there :cloud9: I like it when Illuminations is going on at Epcot and you can see/hear the fireworks in the distance.

the shows usually start around sunset. i can't remember how long they run for, but i love them. the kids are so cute watching the magic tricks. there are also jugglers in the past i remember. it's totally random to me who is where on the boardwalk itself, but they do rotate so that everyone can see it. i think you two will enjoy it very much.
i can't blame you, i would have too. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I will try and catch it! I'm sure DH will like it and take a million pictures.

what a great day, a visit to the GF, a massage, fireworks, and the Boardwalk!

All caught up :). The locations for the photo shoot look amazing and that's so exciting that you'll be staying at BWV for your anniversary. We've always wanted to stay in that area but haven't gotten around to it yet. We've never done HDDR but it looks fun and the trail ride looks fun too. Tusker House is our favorite breakfast, I love the cute safari outfits. I always get soaked on Kali too, for some reason I always get completely soaked on those rides and everyone else will be pretty dry. Then DH will be like, why can't we go on it? Umm, because I don't want to be drenched for the next hour... so we usually save it for the end now. Love all your pics of the GF, I wish I was back there now :lovestruc. I saw the bear lady all week when we were there, from what I've heard she used to stay at the GF all the time with her husband. He's since passed away and she goes there to feel close to him, which is very sweet, but a little sad too.

Thanks! Oh thats exciting, I hope you do end up staying there. its so pretty. If you have time def do the massage. it was nice to get away from everything and just relax. I do wish we could go the the jacuzzi together but its separated.

This was actually our first time seeing the boardwalk and I fell love with it. I can't wait to stay there and hear the fireworks. I also heard some rooms can see them which would be awesome. I just like the idea of staying in a totally different area and getting to walk to the parks!
what a great day, a visit to the GF, a massage, fireworks, and the Boardwalk!
Yeah I agree it was a great day. maybe we can recreate it next time! haha

Thanks! It is coming up very soon! I just need to find a good cleaners for steaming and then we are all set. I finished my bouquet the other day (will post pictures.) We are soooo excited about BWV. It was on the top of my list (along with Poly) and I didn't think we'd be able to stay there for a while. You should def try HDDR once. Its fun and very different. It was our only dinner show...so I can't really compare it to the others but we loved it. Why is that? Why are the ones who don't like to get wet always the ones who do? I actually developed a waterproof camera from the honeymoon and theres one of DH he is SOAKED to the bone. (I did not allow photos of me!!) He never understands that I don't want to walk around in soaking wet clothes for a few hours. It happened to me everytime we went one during the trip. I got soaked and DH was like.....ooops. aww..I didn't know that. I just knew she came pretty much everyday since it opened. that is really sad.

oops...i'm a day later. sorry

Here are the Fabric bouquet and Bout that I made for me and DH.
