Congratulations!!!
My darling hubby and I were married at WDW in 2002, and (of course) we honeymooned there, too!
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside before the wedding, spent the night before (separately) at the Grand Floridian - and wedding night in the honeymoon suite, and went for the week and a half-long honeymoon at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Of all 3, my favorite was definitely the AK ~ romantic lighting, and really cool to watch the animals outside your windows (everytime I had to wake up in the middle of the night, I would look outside to see "who" was on the savanna! Definitely get a savannah-view room if you choose AK!

Port Orleans Riverside is also a romantic-feeling resort, if you want to stay in the moderate price range, though! I've stayed in quite a few other resorts, and actually own DVC at Wilderness Lodge, which is another favorite. Happy to give insight on theming on the romantic meter!

Thanks so much for all your tips! We ended up choosing the WL and are extremely excited. We really choose it for the theming and how close it is to MK. But I also got DF to agree we would stay in the AK next time!

yay for finding a limo company and score on getting 1/2 off. I think I would prefer black limos for the BP anyway.

I can't help you much on the first dance song. The dances haven't been our strong suit, I still need to pick all of those.

Ooh I love the locations for the e-shoot. I like the beach and the college, the restaurant looks interesting but will there be people eating there? That might be weird. But it could be cool if no one's there.

Yeah? Good I'm glad you think that...my mom was giving me a headache on the black limo. I have also been playing phone tag with the owner for the last two weeks I feel special because he doesn't want anyone else working with us! But we can't seem to find a time we are both available!

DF won't sit down and discuss it. We really need to choose a song and then practice dancing to it. (which SCARES DF) He asked if we can choose a 30 second song...

Ya know I asked the guy about the restaurants? because it confused me? But he never actually answered me..i'm GUESSING that we go early in the morning before it actually opens? I donno but I thought it would be pretty crazy pictures. I just want to sit in one of those seats! Again I have to get DF to sit and pick the locations with me!

Hi Jennifer. Just catching up. My vote is for Luna. I LOVE that song, it is one of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs (1979 is my fav but not a good wedding song.) That whole album is one of my all time favorites. I think you should pick that song because I love the fact that it is different and not expected. I am glad that all your plans are coming together. The pictures of your hair are not coming through here at work-they block everything-but I will look when I get home. Almost 2 months to go.

Hello!

So this isn't much of an update....buuuut here we go.

These arrived last week and I was SOOOOOOO excited by them.

Now I just have to find some pretty frames

and we also ordered these

Also I got this backpack....is it too girly for luke to wear if I get tired of it? he told me he'd wear it but no photographs....which is hilarious because of course I will be taking a million photos!

Also we have decided to have petals thrown when we are walking down the aisle. (leaving)

I was going to put the different colors in different bags and then when people throw them they will mix!
they come 200 in a box....does anyone know how many boxes I would need for 65 guests? I original was thinking 3 boxes of each (6) but that seems like WAY too much?

The Mickey/Minnie signed picture is awesome!! And the signed Cinderella/Prince Charming is so cute. Those were great ideas!

I'm soooo excited about the Rolls royce. I didn't think it was happening for a while....so I am just too excited.
DF actually told me I did well on picking the locations...so I am very happy he liked them. I like the idea of picking 3 totally different locations. we are doing it at the end of the month! i'm excited

I really love that song too...and think it fits our none traditional theme.

You guys should do it too! Its a nice surprise when I came home to it! We also sent one to the president but we are still waiting for a reply.

Yeah they are. They had a sale on them a few weeks back so i jumped on it! I just couldn't wait til we got down to DTD to get them!

2 months!

2 months from right now we will be on a plane (almost LANDING!) and on our way to WL for our honeymoon


totally crazy I hope I get everything done in time! We dropped DF's suit at the tailors yesterday to get it fitted. It was a crazy experience because the lady was older and wouldn't stop talking She said DF was too skinny! They are making DF a special extra skinny tie. Which is pricey but thats what he wants and he has no idea how much my dress cost soooooooo I will say nothing. Just as long as he is happy. They said it would take a MONTH for it to be fitted which seems so so long. and too close to the wedding and makes me nervous. I may call and ask if can be earlier...just incase they mess up! I want them to have time to fix it....(fingers crossed for me they don't!)

Our Best"man" also canceled on going with us...so now we have to find another time to do that. (took us a 2 MONTHS to get her to settle on this day....)

I have also worked on signs for the candy buffet and table numbers. when they are finished I will post.

I need suggestions for things to have on each table number. I am drawing them like I did the invites. We are using some of the same graphics so I don't have as many to do. This is what we have....I don't really want to have overly disney (I have been using silhouettes for disney stuff mainly) just because I know not everyone likes disney at our wedding. so beach theme or subtle disney stuff if what i'm looking for.

-the castle
-Seahorses (did you know they mate for life?)
-Lighthouse

DH's suit took a while too since we had to fix what Men's Warehouse messed up. I would explain your timeline to them, from my experience it was about 2 weeks (and this was also during Christmas time) and we did a fitting then it needed some further adjustment and I believe it was another week or two. We picked the suit up about a week before we left. You should be okay, but suits are a lot of work since they usually have to take them apart, but you don't want to rush either with only have two months.

For the table numbers, maybe you could lean on The Little Mermaid and do modifications to things. Like a crab, seagulls, sand dollars/sea shells, coral, or an anemone. I think you could really play with it and find a nice compromise to get what you want. How many tables do you have?

I know....I can't even believe it. I told DF that in 2 months from last night we'd be in Epcot and he just stared at me in surprise. haha. Then asked if we could just go there today. I wish

I didn't have time last night because I was on a shoe hunt! hahaha

SOOOO....I am annoying again. and changed my mind with my shoes...I decided the ones I got just weren't me and they were really bugging me. SO I was back and forth all yesterday trying to decide if I should spend double my shoe budget on another pair. (Mind you already have 2 pairs at home...none returnable!) Well....I decided that my sanity was worth more then saving money and searching endlessly for shoes! hahahaha

so here are my new shoes! They are on their way to my house! When I get them i'll take more pictures.
