Jen I just finished reading your last instalment and it's terrific You made such a beautiful bride, you were positively glowing, you can just feel how happy you were. I'm still loving that tan that you have
I loved your BM's dresses, it's such a beautiful color and it goes especially well with a tan!
You have me really worried about the heat now, I'm really hoping to wear my hair down, hope I can bear it. Your dress was gorgeous, and you were so lucky to have Linda at your side retouching your makeup what a god-send!

I also loved your BMs dresses. I always worry about what I should pick for mine, because everyone tells you that no matter what you pick your BMs will think it's ugly. But, that can't be true in your case, because they all look fabulous!

I will be having a late September wedding, so not only will it be super hot but super muggy. I have naturally curly hair, but usually always straighten (shame on me!). So I'm really worried about the humidity and the all too important frizz factor. But, at least the wedding will be indoors. I think I'll just tell the hair dresser to put an easy two cans of hairspray in my hair!

Wedding Day Continued!!

So, my dad and I were told we could walk slowly towards SBP. I see in the distance that the little people are going already! NOOOO! We thought we’d be right behind them so we could watch them throw the flowers. I was really bummed about this!

Oh well… now it was time for my dad and I to walk down the aisle…

Ok, no comments here about my dad not buttoning his suit and tucking in his tie. As many of you know, my dad has not been well at all and I was just thrilled to have him here. He later felt really bad when we watched the video, but it’s OK

As I walked down the aisle, I just saw all these faces and cameras on me. It was quite nerve wracking. I didn’t even look at Jeff! I just remember saying “HI everyone” under my breath! Haha!

Then I got to Rev. Jack and finally looked at Jeff. I could tell Jeff was in pain b/c he hates being outside w/o sunglasses on. The poor guy was squinting the whole time. I was fine when Rev. Jack started the ceremony and then a Pirate cruise boat filled with little kids went by and the boat captain honked the horn and all the little kids screamed “argh!”. It was so funny, even Rev. Jack laughed! Susan was laughing so hard and I heard her that I started laughing uncontrollably for the rest of the ceremony. Oh well, at least everyone knew I was happy!

Rev. Jack and Jeff were talking very quietly. Now my dad’s parents decided it was too much for them to travel down to Florida the week before my wedding. So one of my uncles had the phone open on the sand ceremony table so my grandparents could listen. When it came my turn to talk, I was screaming my vows and everyone started laughing. I just wanted my grandparents to hear! Geez people!

When it came time to exchange rings, Jeff’s fingers had swelled so much from the heat that I couldn’t get his on! I even said something like “take this ring… PLEASE!” Haha, it finally went on though! Then during the sand ceremony, I spilled my sand all over the table. It was a disaster! By the time I knew it, we were pronounced hubby and wife and I couldn’t have been happier

We kissed and then hugged, and when we hugged I got make-up all over his coat!! Ugh, I was a mess this morning!

After the ceremony, we all kind of gathered and talked outside SBP and the guests formed a receiving line… interesting.

Then the bridal party, parents, and grandparents hung around for some pictures…

Then we took pictures down the BW…

Then it was just Jeff, me, Linda, and Randy for about another ½ hour. I was dying!!! Thank God Linda was there! I cannot explain how much this helped. If she didn’t have the ice, towel, and make-up to fix us, we would have been drenched in the pictures. I am forever in debt to her. After the longest and hottest ½ hour of my life… it was time to go into the air-conditioning, wohoo!

Next up- Meeting DJ Steve who was my enemy and the Reception!

Jen you look soooooooooo pretty. I love the colors of your wedding. The tan suits are a great idea. Your little cousins are so adorable.

Jen, I think that the ceremony was perfect even though it didn't run perfectly. That is what makes it so special and memorable. I am enjoying your TR, and am looking foward to reading the rest.

I LOVE these photos!!

Dont worry about your dad leaving his coat undone and not tucking the tie--- Shane purposely left his unbottoned during the ceremony... he says he has to wear suits to work nearly everyday so he wanted this suit to be unbuttoned (he swears it looks better... i could care less as long as he made it to SBP-- he could have warn sandles!). So see-- that was your dad--in my case it was the groom!

I LOVE those ties-- where did you get those? We here in TN, as you probobly know being a GA Bulldog now-- are very well known for our Orange and White pride. I LOVE those ties.... were they rented or purchased? Ill have to get DH one like that to wear during Saturday games that he has to work.

By the way-- this photo makes me think you and Jeff will make great parents one day

We bought the ties from someone who handmakes ties at a men's specialty shop in Clemson, SC. The ties actually cost more than the suits and BMs dresses did You would die if you knew how much we spent on those babies! We just thought they were so perfect though, we couldn't pass them up We looked for peach and ivory ties everywhere and couldn't find anything! I may be able to steal Jimmy's for Shane since Jimmy insists he is NEVER wearing it again

Thanks so much what you said about the photo of us and the kids. Jeff and I have been talking kids for awhile (we have been together 6 years so not too crazy!) but with him in school another 2 years, we're looking at 4 or 5 years before that can happen and that really bums the two of us out. Oh well, I'm sure time will go by quicker than I think

Wow-- i dont think I want to know how much you paid for the ties-- i couldnt imagine. Let Jimmy-boy keep his tie-- it has great sentimental value to it!

For now you and Jeff can enjoy the marriage-- time flies when your having fun! Then the babies can come!

Jen, I haven't been on the Wedding boards in a few months because I got quite moody and ego bruised a while ago about still not being engaged.. but something made me check on here about a week ago and I started reading your TR; now I am hanging on every word!! I love your report and everything about your wedding. You are truly one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen and I know its because you are both beautiful inside and out. Congratulations on your wedding. As many have said you are a beautiful bride. I have been reading your whole report and although you said it would be a boring trip report I think what keeps me coming back is you are just so happy. I'm guessing most people who are reading your report are engaged or new brides. We have been married for 21 years (I was a June bride also and I wish I had a Linda to keep my hair and makeup looking good from the heat) and I wish you and Jeff many happy years together.

You know, even though you keep saying it was unbelievably hot...none of it shows in any of the pics. I know that you had Linda, but everyone else didn't look like they were dying of overheating AND surprisingly everyone's hair looked the same as when they were in air conditioning. Can't ask for more than that. lol Although I do cringe at the guys in tuxes in FL in June. What super troopers.
