Jen & Jeff's Wedding TR ~ SBP, Ariel's--- More Randy pictures!!

Here are some pictures my family and I took in my parents' lovely backyard (that I'll never be in again  ) before the at-home reception. As you can see, Nati was just fine by then :goodvibes Jeff's suit is the same one from the rehearsal dinner at 'Ohana. Does the sash around my dress look familiar to anyone ;)

Sorry the quality isn't so good, my camera is ancient. I'm still awaiting my brother's pictures :rolleyes1

These photos are so good-- you all look great in them!

Yes, there really should be a Magic Evacuation route for families with kids having meltdowns in the middle of Wishes (or any similar Park-crush event)! LOL!:rotfl: Til then, unfortunately there is so little you can do! Even if you can get thru the mass of people, if there is more than one child in the family, removing the non-crying kid in the middle of fireworks is only going to increase the number of kids having a breakdown. I also don't know how many families would be keen on splitting up a family so near the park closing exodus, if the parents could even think or hear each other over the crying kid to discuss a plan. Just not a good idea!!!

I agree that it stinks this changed the venue for Paul and Jess' proposal. On the other hand, I think a private proposal on the shores of Poly sounds every bit (if not more!) romantic!

you would have to know me....I was not being rude, and I know kids are not perfect...it just stinks that it ruined their proposal! i also do have a problem when a child has a meltdown and the parents do nothing about it.

That is fabulous! What a great idea! It looks like it was designed especially for your dress.

Yet another J.Crew modeling pic!

I also love the fact that you were able to keep the festivities coming after the Main Event. What better way to recover from those post-wedding blues?!:thumbsup2

PS - love the pics of you and your parents. I can also see why you are going to miss that backyard - it's wonderful!

Yes, it is  One of my BMs (I won't mention her name b/c I don't want her to get arrested by the Disney police ;) ) took it for me b/c I wanted some kind of orange or peach sash to wear around my waist for the at-home reception and I never found one :lmao:

Jen - this was an amazing TR! You did such a wonderful job writing it. :thumbsup2 You and Jeff always look so happy together, and you are such a beautiful person.

I hope you like the WL - it is a really nice resort. We will have a great time at the F&W festival!! :goodvibes

I am glad that everything went so well for your wedding - I know how much you stressed about everything. But it really did turn out perfectly - and it couldn't have happened for a more wonderful person. Thanks for being such a great friend to me and everyone else!

BTW - Nati is such a cutie! And that dress for the at-home reception is so great!!:cutie:

Thanks so much Angela! I am sooooo excited about the F&W festival too :woohoo: I have a feeling we're going to like it too much and want to attend every year

Jen I love these pics. You are such a beautiful couple. I'm so glad Nati is ok now.

Thanks Laura :)

Jen I am so sad its over! I loved reading it! and you two look great in your at home reception pics! thank you so much for sharing this special time in your life with us! you are such a sweetheart and I have loved "getting to know you" in the past few months!

Thanks Heather! I know, I've enjoyed getting to know you and the other girls. I wish we could all go to WDW together-- how much fun would that be :yay:

Jen....everything looked lovely! I'm glad it all worked out for you. YOu look so happy!!!
:

Thanks Abby-- I'm sooo excited for your wedding! I cannot get over how close it is :) I'm so excited to meet you too!!

I have so much enjoyed reading your TR. It was an amazing wedding. So sorry you can't go back "home". What is it with parents elling out on us. My parents sold their house and moved out the day before I got married. I didn't have a wedding. All the stress caused us to cancel it all and plan a simple service at home on my parents 30th anniversary. I dream of a vow renewal in Disney some day.

BTW...I'm a couple hrs up the road, I-75, around Chattanooga.

I hate it is over for now but I look forward to more at home reception pics and the Disneymoon Part II

Congrats again

Oh I'm so sorry you didn't have a wedding!! I almost cancelled mine too, from the stress of Dad being sick! I'm glad it all worked out though. Yes, have a Disney vow renewal, that would be awesome :thumbsup2

I am so sad that this TR is over! It's been such a bright spot in my day every time there was a new posting. I can't wait to see your photos from Randy; they are going to be gorgeous!!

I know, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for Randy's photos! I'll let everyone know when they're up :flower3:

Jenn...Just a few things....

-I just noticed the guys had on flip flops! That's great!!! Not sure how I missed that!:confused3
-I have thoroughly enjoyed your wedding and honeymoon! :thumbsup2 Thank-you for sharing it with us!
-I am also from NJ, but now am located in Buffalo! However:
You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can't take Jersey out of the girl!!! I'll ALWAYS be a "Jersey Girl"!

Are you going to tell us about the at home reception? I hope so and am looking forward to hearing about it and seeing pics! :hippie:

Sooo true about the Jersey girl comment! Jeff always ask "why do people from your state have so much pride??" B/c it's the best state ever! I LOVED growing up on the shore and being so close to the city! I miss it so much :sad2:

These photos are so good-- you all look great in them!

Thanks Maggie- you're too sweet  I personally think my hair looks like a poof ball. I cannot wait to get it cut!!

Aww thanks, you're too sweet too :goodvibes Yes, I am going to miss my parents backyard sooooo much, and so is Nati! We have another at-home reception coming up in September, and we're actually having a cake taste testing this weekend, so it's like the wedding stuff never ends! I kind of like it this way ;)

Jen, one thing we haven't seen are pics of your engagement ring and your wedding rings! I want to see!

i just found and read your trip report, it was awesome! you had a beautiful wedding, and beautiful friends. i can only wish to have as wonderful a wedding as you did! congratulations on everything, you are so lucky and blessed to have such wonderful people in your life!

I bet it was S*#@n...............:lmao: she was the one always getting in trouble.

Great pics & can't wait to read more & see your pictures from Randy.

I've actually never taken a picture of my rings!! I know Randy did so when I get his pics, I'll be sure to post it :thumbsup2

Thank you so much :goodvibes I know we are sooooo lucky to have such wonderful friends and family! Our wedding was amazing and I'm sure yours will be too. I used to read everyone's wedding TRs and think to myself that ours would never compare and we'd never have as much fun-- but we did!! And you will too :)

I bet it was S*#@n...............:lmao: she was the one always getting in trouble.

Great pics & can't wait to read more & see your pictures from Randy.

Hahaaaa I just laughed out loud when I read your accusation :lmao: It actually was not her. It's the one of my BMs w/ the most style sense. She is the only one capable of thinking of using it ;)

I'm so sad that your TR is over. I can't wait for your at home reception report etc. We need more!!! Your so great at telling your stories!~
Maggie

Thank you SO much for sharing your TR with us!! It was really great...not a bit boring! You and Jeff are a gorgeous couple. Good luck with everything! And I'm looking forward to more TRs in the future ;)

Thanks so much! You better write a TR too after your DFTW :goodvibes

Let me first say Congratulations Jen! What a wonderful TR and beautiful pictures! I felt like I was there. :goodvibes Randy is the best isn't he?!?! I've seen your dress before but let me say it looks much more beautiful on you. Wishing you many happy years ahead. Thanks for sharing.

What a fabulous TR. I'm so glad everyone and everything turned out okay.

You will LOVE the Food and Wine Festival. When I was down there doing th College Program I worked in one of the booths. I had been there before and it just gets better and better every year. It's one of my favorite times to go there, and it's not as busy!

I can't wait to hear more from you. Best wishes to your future together! :cutie:

Hey!!!!!!!!! I finally got some time to catch up and read everything :) DH (still feels weird to say that) just called me on his way home from his first day back at work and asked me what I did all day and I said 'I read Jen and Jeff's trip report.' :rotfl:

Everything was so amazing!! I was just teary on the phone with Clint saying that you two got so many cool surprises and everything seemed so magical and we didn't seem to get the same and I was disappointed :( Oh well, we have a LOT of funny memories I guess ;) You looked wonderful and it looked like the two of you had an awesome time!

LOVED the Clemson cake!!!!!!!!

Clint always says 'everything will be ok' and 'I'll take care of it' when he has no control and it drives me crazy too! I always say what you said 'how do you know?' I guess it's their way of trying to help (even though it doesn't really help ;) )

I'm amazed at how 'dry' you look in all your pictures!! I'm impressed! I'm currently going through mine trying to find which ones look the least sweaty to post in my TR :rotfl:

I'm SO GLAD Nati was ok. As soon as I read the part about the phone call, I skipped all the other stuff in your TR so I could see if Nati was ok, and then I went back and read the rest. After what you went through last time, I was so worried. I thought the Bordatella was supposed to keep them from getting kennel cough too :confused3

ETA: We also decided to go back this Fall to take advantage of our APs!!!

Jen, OH MY GOSH...I just realized something. I have been reading your TR in installments the last two weeks and finally got to the end. It was great! I hung on every word popcorn:: . I loved every single magical detail. I just realized that my DF and I will be at Disney during your extended honeymoon trip. In fact, our wedding is on October 1st and from one Disbride:bride: to another if you and Jeff would like to meet us sometime or even if you would like to extend your trip for a day and join in the wedding fun, we would love to have you both! Just thought I would extend a quick invitation. You and Jeff seem like so much fun to be around and are a lot like my DF and I. I think it would be great fun. Just let me know if your interested.

Anna Marie:)

Jen, what is his major? Is he a med student?

I took out my hair and it was the biggest poof ball ever! I took off my make-up and that was a challenge. I got in my pajamas and realized I’d never be a bride again… now I was a wife. But I still wanted to be a bride :sad1: Then it happened…. I was over tired and the night your wedding is over is a BIG emotional let down. The year and a ½ of planning, the dreaming of your wedding day since you were a little girl… it was all over now! I started crying hysterically! I’m sure that’s exactly what Jeff wanted on his wedding night- hahaha! I started missing my BMs and my parents. I wish we had picked our free night to be BC concierge and moved to the GF tomorrow. I couldn’t believe they were all in the room without me! I felt so alone for some reason, like they had all abandoned me. I know this is a terrible thing to think on my wedding night, and it was even more terrible to tell this all to Jeff

I have had a very difficult time accepting that I have grown up. When I was 18 and went to Clemson University in SC for college (7 yrs ago), I always thought after 4 years I’d come back to NJ. After all, I loved my home state, my family, and my friends. I never imagined in a million years I’d meet a boy and stay down here for the rest of my life. Every day I miss everyone from home so much. Jeff of course knows this about me and has offered to settle down in NJ but it’s just too expensive. We can have such a better quality of life down here. After all, I can go home to NJ any time I want. That’s why airplanes were invented!

During my crying fit, Jeff says it’s OK to feel this way and he knows how difficult it has been for me to leave my family and friends. Then he says, he cannot be happier right now b/c now he can call me his wife :cloud9: That was the first time he called me his wife and I stopped crying. I all of a sudden became OK at that moment too and said good night to my husband. He always knows the right things to say! I love Jeff so much and I realize leaving everyone was totally worth it for him. I was so lucky to call the best man in the world my husband! It all really was going to be OK. That night we fell asleep in each other’s arms and never pulled apart :lovestruc

i just wanted to say that i feel the same way (although i'm not married yet), i'm from jersey as well and i moved up to massachusetts to go to college in 2001 and i've been there ever since. i met my boyfriend my junior year (never expecting that was going to happen) and i decided to stay with him up there after i graduated in 2005. i'm going to be starting grad school in ma in the fall and be even further from my parents who are moving to delaware. i can't even imagine how i'll feel if and when i get married, probably the same way that you did! don't feel bad about thinking things like that. it's hard being far from your family. i constantly feel bad about not being with my family, since my boyfriend's family live in connecticut (30 min from us) and we visit them all the time. i figure though that once he and i graduate from grad school who knows where we'll have to move to for our jobs, could be closer or farther from both of our families. i'm just hoping closer. :grouphug:

He's in chiropractor school :)

I totally understand how hard it is to be away from your family  I've been gone for 7 years and it doesn't get any easier. We visit DH's parents all the time too since they're only 2 hours away and we like travelling on the weekend. I'm sure your parents understand and just want you to be happy :) I'll be crossing my fingers for you that you get to move closer to your fam in the near future!!

Aren't you going the last week in September? I would LOVE to go then!! The first time Clint and I went was during that week, however, I don't have any time off school in the fall except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. How are BG and Angela taking off school!? I wanna know the secret :)

Yes, it was SOOO hot, and you'll see in my TR what happened that made it even more hot  I'm so worried that my pictures are going to be all sweaty and squinty from the sun, but hey, at least it didn't rain :)
